Charlie, apparently you do not understand Social Security. If you pay into it every paycheck for 45 years( which I have), they dispense a little back to you and your dependents when you reach retirement age... Welfare is for those who do not or can not work. Your Daughter's taxes are safe so they can be used for better things than supporting children...like military armaments, and perhaps the next war in the Middle East.
