The timing of the Canada race seems a little odd to me. I would have thought better to have held towards the end of the season to coincide with North America & South America races rather than in the middle of the European races.
Equally out of China into the Middle East to Bahrain & then back to South East Asia to South Korea seems a strange idea.

Still I guess Bernie needs to recoup some cash after the Swiss court case fiasco...

Yes indeed Bob,if you have enough of the green stuff it seems you can get out of almost anything.
At the races their are signs saying "Bernie says think before you drive"
I think that should read "Bernie says Think before you Bribe"

It's the same schedule as this year, except they have added an extra race in Mexico between USA GP and Brazil GP at the end.

I think the Korean one (still to actually be confirmed) is also a change Nick.
The plan is to go for a 21 race schedule rather than the 19 this season..

The decision is not a surprise.
It had been scheduled as the fifth race of the season on 3 May, just a week before the first European race in Spain, but sources had always insisted its inclusion was a ruse.
It was added as a potential way to allow the engine manufacturers to continue to use five engines this season, rather than the four demanded in the 2015 rules.
This plan was based on a rule that says each driver could have five engines in 2015 if the calendar had more than 20 races "as originally scheduled".

And the pressure to allow drivers to use five engines over the season was reduced by the decision to allow limited in-season engine development, after Ferrari pointed out a loophole in the rules.

It just about points out the poor state that F1 is actually in - especially between Mr. E, the rules & the teams..

I think it is a pity, especially with Honda now taking part again, that it still seems to be a multi-million pound fiasco much of the time...

Seems that Honda will be under the same development rules as the existing manufactures now.
However, as everything seems to be around F1 exactly what Honda will be allowed to do is complicated...

Mercedes, Renault and Ferrari are allowed to change up to 48% of the engines they used in 2014 by the end of the 2015 season.
This is defined by a number of 'tokens', which are assigned to parts of the engine on the basis of their influence on performance.
Out of a total of 66 tokens, Mercedes, Renault and Ferrari can modify 32 through 2015.
Previously Honda had been barred from changing any of its engine after it was approved for competition on 28 February.
Friday's ruling will allow Honda to change a given amount of its engine calculated by the average of the number of tokens unused by the other manufacturers by the time of the first race in Australia on 16 March.
In the example given by FIA race director Charlie Whiting, and seen by BBC Sport, he writes: "If the three 2014 manufacturers have eight, seven and five unused tokens respectively at the start of the season, then the new manufacturer will be allowed to use six during the season (the average rounded down to the nearest whole number)".

Looks like there might be another race less this year.
Bernie is not having a very good time of it at the moment... Pity, couldn't happen to a nicer man..

Formula 1: Hockenheim boss rules out 2015 German Grand Prix

There will be no German Grand Prix this year, the boss of the Hockenheim circuit has told a German newspaper.

The track hosted the 2014 race but is supposed to alternate each year with the Nurburgring.

However, the Nurburgring has new owners and no contract for 2015.

Hockenheim boss Georg Seiler told Bild they could not be ready in time for the July 17-19 race, adding: "We have no hope any more of having a Formula One race here."

Formula 1 boss Bernie Ecclestone said in January that Hockenheim would host this year's German Grand Prix as the only alternative to the Nurburgring.

The official 2015 calendar does not yet specify a venue for the race.
