how to place a youtube vid

1. Go to your selected You Tube page and note the window embed on the right hand side.

2. copy the code in the embed window.

3. Go to your 'post a reply' page on Udon Map (where you'd normally write a reply on a thread and click on the You Tube tab.

3. Paste the You Tube embed code onto your 'post a reply' page between the You Tube markers.

4. Write your comment if required.

5. Press submit

It should do for 99% of youtube videos. The occasional one does not have the user permission granted to enable this linkage.

Thats not how I do it

I just copy the header above the vidio(after (" ?v)"
Paste it in between "Youtube".... thats it
in this vido it is 23Tvgme62pM

The easiest way is simply put your mouse over the clip you want and right click, left click on :copy URL, then simply go to the forum thread you want and right click then choose paste and walla, your done .... https://www.youtube.com/watch?feature=p ... 1421914688

I tried that Ardy dont work for me. I only get the full URL code which will only sends the Video to Youtube to be viewed Not UM

It comes after V=
Click on "YOU TUBE" bottom right of the video and see the original video
The URL code is in top header

Gawd love a duck, 93 - how long have you been around?

At the end of the url for a YT video there will be a "v=", followed by a string of letters eg

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nVxnNNGjubg

Right above the box where you are typing there are a series of smaller boxes, containing B I U " and so on. The last of these boxes is "youtube". Left click on this, and [youtube][/youtube] will appear where you are typing.

Highlight and copy the letter string from above, and paste it between the two middle youtube brackets ie ][, and you should end up with:

[youtube]nVxnNNGjubg[/youtube ]

Note that the link to insert a YouTube is only available in "Full Editor & Preview" mode. It isn't displayed in the default "Quick Reply" mode.
