Psoriasis any tips on treatment

Has anyone any tips on treating and caring for the skin condition Psoriasis. Has anyone found any alternative treatments or medication here in Thailand that has worked for them.

Not for me, but a friend of mine..
Aloe vera

The cortisone cream eventually cured mine which, very thankfully has not reoccurred, but my sympathy for who ever is suffering from it.

Ive heard that swimming or bathing in the sea helps.

I use the cream in the photo.......a mid-strength steroid cream.....with good results. Costs about 100 baht a tube in most any pharmacy. When you're buying creams like these (or any medicine) in a local pharmacy, it's a good idea to check the expiry date..........or best to buy in an ac'd pharmacy like that at Tesco, Boots, Watson's. I've seen some old decrepit looking medicines offered for sale at mom and pop pharmacies in the village.

Depending on how bad it is ..... Selsun Gold dandruff shampoo can be applied topically and left for 10 mins, repeat daily, read instructions on bottle. Start with a small test patch on your arm and make sure there is no reaction. Do in sections. Dont apply allover in one hit. If it works then maintain by shampooing i.e. water down.

And seawater and sunshine does help. No oil.

havent got red raw skin con, but when itchy red face I dab vinegar on and has fixed it over time..

It can be messy and tough to slather thick goo onto psoriasis patches day after day, but you need to do it. If your doctor prescribes creams or ointments, make them part of your daily routine.

Tegrin shampoo, Dovobet gel for the head and Dovonex and Betaderm for the body. Since I had the quadruple heart bypass surgery, my psoriasis has all but disappeared.
