Yes, it's hard to pick this one. I think NZers will be a bit annoyed if we can't beat the English at home given the respective form of both teams. NZ cricket fans might even be really annoyed if NZ lost and they were aware of the stats Bob posted earlier in this thread.

It wouldnt surprise me if New Zealand beat England comfortably on Friday.
Big congratulations to Ireland beating the West Indies =D> if they beat UAE and Zimbabwe they should qualify for the quarter finals.
Former West Indies legend,Michael Holding,is calling for Ireland to be granted test status immediately.
My gran was from Cork in Ireland which gives me the right to bask in the countries top performances in Rugby,Cricket and, occassionally,Football ! 8)

Selection for England.....you might as well pull the first 11 names out of a hat !
The one guy who deserves to be dropped is the skipper,Morgan. His last 4 innings have been 0,2,0 and 0.
You couldnt do worse if you selected one out of Bob,statto, pomps or myself in his place !
Will the selectors have the balls to leave him out ? norfolkandchance !
My team (for what its worth) would be.....

Hales
Bell
Ballance
Root
Taylor
Moeen
Buttler
Woakes
Broad
Finn
Anderson

But its likely to be same as with Morgan in for Hales and Moeen up to open.....Tredwell unfortunate not to get a chance as the spinner.....Bopara and Jordan even worse options than the current starting line up ! :(

England won the toss and are batting against NZ. I'm not confident that the home side is going to win this.

The Kiwi supporters are currently smiling but it's early days. It's overcast and drizzling up here in Auckland today. Just as well the game isn't up here.

I turn away from espncricinfo for what only seems like 15 minutes and the English are 6 down.

Doing even better now.....116-7.....at this rate New Zealand could be asked to make an almost impossible 130 off 50 overs to win !!

Yes but we still remember the Scotland game. I'd get anxious if NZ lose a couple of early wickets. Are England really as bad as Bob's stats?
