England 303-8 after 50 overs....Moeen Ali 128,Bell 54,Davey 4-68.

Scotland could well require more than 30 overs to knock down that total !

They should be OK once they get past about 40 overs and Mike Denness has got his eye in :-$

Scotland 150-7 after 34 overs.....
Difficult for the Scots but they have done pretty well......Coetzer made 71......nice if they could make 200.

A gallant effort by Scotland against Afghanistan but just as I thought we were going to grind out our first ever win in the cricket world cup, at the death we bowled a wide and then missed a good run out chance. My bet is still on hold but dwindling as we still wait to win a group game. [-o<

Afghanistan win with 3 balls to spare and their last pair at the crease. Oh well Scotland will have to get their revenge by touring Afghanistan for a 5 test series and 7 one days games. Out and about in the back blocks of Afghanistan mixing with the locals ... I nominate David Warner to be one of the umpires for the series. I don't want to be cruel so Scotland can choose its own protocol officer if they think Warner might not do too well in that role as well.

GT our boys have always been on the frontline to soften up the enemy before the boys from south of the border get involved after their salmon and cucumber sandwiches but we have an outside chance against the 'deshi's' who we have beaten before. I'm still looking forward to my free beverages from my mate from down under probably more so than he is as confident as an Aussie world cup win.

West Indies 57-5 off 12 overs.....Gayle out for just 3,so thats that !
de Villiers....another fantastic knock from him =D> .....he's probably all that stands between Australia lifting the trophy,I reckon !
New Zealand have an outside chance of winning it providing McCullum isnt out cheaply.

One thing that has struck me is how well the non test playing countries have performed.....Ireland,Afghanistan,UAE and Scotland.
Biggest under achievers so far.....England.......they could well get thrashed by Sri Lanka tomorrow.
