After all the unnecessesary diversions from the original question by the OP, we finally return to his quest:
To provide a proof that he is legally residing somewhere in Thailand. He wants to use this "certificate of residence" for the application for a Thai Driving License.

We already know that he has to prove his current address according to this format:

If the OP would stay in a hotel or guesthouse he would not have any problems to prove his stay there, as hotels register their guests with the Immigration Police regularly.

But the OP informs us that: "I live together with my GF in her house "

Now, guess how likely it is that his GF has registered her BF as now residing in her house with Immigration Police?

Which directly leads to the question what residential address can now be proven by the Immigration office.

In "my experience"....my wife's house book list her as owner and myself and our kids are listed as occupants/residents.

I wonder how that happened because as far as I understand only Thai's can be listed in the Blue Tabian Ban. If what you're saying can be done than why is there a Yellow Tabian Ban.

According to my wife she added me and the kids as residents of the house we live in and our names appears as such, each of us have a dedicated page listing us as residents in her house book. She also says, anyone that comes to live with us may be added to the book.

Why the yellow book? No idea and honestly I never concerned myself with all the details, I thought having a yellow book was part of the check list for living here when I first moved here 8yrs ago.

I apologized Mike and whom ever else is following this. I got my wires crossed (happens often when trying to extract information from my wife). Yes, you were correct...Thais only listed in the Blue house book.

1) TW/TGF with ID card registered at the address to be registered on the proof of address.
2) passport with valid permission to stay stamp (maybe non- O or extension of stay)
3) 2 photos ( if you only want 1 proof of address)
4) ฿500 for the express, while you wait service

Not needed, not asked for, not wanted
Everything else
No house book
No rent book
No 24 hour registration form

If that is the current main evidence, we can call us lucky. There were times in which Udon Thani Immigration told the Udon Expats different messages.

That is exactly what they wanted from me (and all they wanted) about 3 weeks ago.

So now I have my 2 shiny new driving licences to add to my collection

Friend of mine received a Thai Driving licence the other day ( expat ) He was required to have a translation of his Australian Licence to support his Thai application.

This is exactly what I needed. Especially the 500THb express service.

I successfully made the driver license.

I also want to share my experience with the theoretical test. The test itself is quite easy. The 50 questions of the test are 90% the same questions which the test machines outside of the exam room will ask you. But one big hurdle. The test machine outside has different correct answers for the same questions then in the real exam. The machine outside will ask you what to do if an ambulance with emergency light is coming. The correct answer outside is "stop your car and proceed when it is safe to do so". At the official test this answer would be wrong and the correct answer is "reduce your speed and let the emergency vehicle pass and then proceed". Of course "reduce your car speed" is correct but the test machine outside has wrong programmed correct answers. Also the machine outside will ask you about a traffic sign which means "Minimum Speed 30km/h" but the test machine says that "Maximum 30km/h" is the right answer. This was irritating because in the real exam you will get the same question but in this case it is correct with "Minimum 30 km/h". The official test will ask you a question about a traffic situation and you have decide which has a right of way. The answer would be Car B but the machine says Car A, this is not correct and I also asked the supervisor and he agreed with me.

Bu all in all I got my license and I am very happy

This is probably the 500 THB express fee. No recipient. Anyway this only took 2 minutes.
