Every month, I buy 8 loaves of Whole wheat bread from Macro.
Many times ...MOT! It is obviously a good sell. Yet they never make enough!
Large sliced loaf is 41 baht. Well cheap!
Cant find better deal than that

Yes, the Makro wholewheat bread is the best ready sliced - but as you say, never enough baked, out of stock 50% of the time. Wish i had a decent sized freezer so i could stock up with it.

My tip - Richesse yoghurt drink - 830ml, 27 baht, from Makro.

A few months ago I discovered online shopping on Lazada.co.th and have placed orders on several occasions with excellent results. For those living in the Udon area shipping is free for orders over 1000 Baht and you can place your order to pay "cash on delivery". Yesterday I found that they even sell tires. Just plug in your tire size in the search engine to see if they stock them. I found tires for my Honda City at four for 6500 Baht and they are offering a 10% discount at this time. That comes out to 1463 per tire which is a fantastic deal. I'm sure that the charges for mounting and balancing would not be much, so next time I need tires I'm buying online. Check out the deal here:

This Week's Shopping Deal

Thanks for all of your suggestions. I'm starting to hone in on the solution. One question keeps coming up, -- should sponsors be allowed to post in this thread (assuming with prices)? On one hand, some UM members believe that it's a bit underhanded and getting extra, unintended advertising. Others say that it's good for the UM members because they might not find out about a good deal if they don't check every sponsor's thread.

Your opinions?

This thread has been running since September of 2011. I believe that if you read back through the posts you will get a pretty good idea of how regular members kept it humming along nicely. Members sharing shopping experiences with other members. That, in my estimation, was the original intent of the thread.

You could always set up a separate thread "Sponsors Shopping Deals' where the sponsor could promote deals on food, drink, accomodation, massage etc.or whatever type of business they are in.

Incidentally Pizza Co.have a decent deal on at the mo.... =;
1 medium Hawaiian pizza
1 250g Swensens ice cream tub
2 small Pepsi cans
1 small cooler bag

359 baht (which includes delivery charge)

Phone 1112 for details/orders.
Just when I thought our chance had passed, you go and save the best for last.

Maybe 20 or 30 mtrs over the Railway Line heading towards Big C on the right, they specialize in Pork. Rob buys them for his Bar and everyone I spoke to said they were excellent value. Sorry, don't know the Name ....
