Surveyor

I want to build a perimeter wall around our house block and need a surveyor to check the boundaries first. Can anyone recommend a surveyor and provide contact details?

Not sure of any suveyor but we went to the local land office, they sent a couple of guys out with a theodolite etc and using land papers and a road layout map marked our boundaries with cylindrical concrete blocks. Was told these are the official boundary markers. Hope this helps.

same here Chriss , the round blocks were at diffrent heights , maybe we got the No 2 crew because they came
back and change the position of the blocks 3 times ... :-"

Same here in the rice paddies. Some people came out from the Amphur Land Titles office (actually I had to drive em to and from) and did the survey. There was a charge but I can't remember what it was - not much.

The only surveyors authorised to check the land will be the local land office. They will have to inform the neighbours about the check, although the neighbours don't have to be there, and they will check or replace the boundary posts, all of which are numbered and shown on the chanute. Some offices will do it in days, others take months.
You also need to be the registered owner to ask for a check.

Another thought - in some areas you need a neighbour's signed permission to build a wall if its along the boundary, but not if the wall is on your land. May be worth checking first.

Thanks everyone. Sounds like the wife and I will be making a trip to the district land titles office. And thanks John G - I intend to build it 15 cms (6 inches) inside the boundary , so I want to be certain about the position before I start.
