I have bought a Condo & the Chanote is in my name.
The Blue Book I have been given only has the Builders name in it.
Has anyone who has bought a Condo had their name put in the Blue Book.
I want to put my sons name in the blue book but I have been told I need the Builder to sign the documents as they are the Principle name in the book.

Is your son Thai? you can have a yellow book, blue books are only for Thais.

He can have it in his name then, get a new one removing the builder as he no longer lives there.

The blue or yellow book are only to record who lives in the property not who owns it.

Logic tells me if I take the Chanote & my passport I should be able to add his name to the blue book but this is Thailand.

Have contacted the builders today. If builders signature is required they have said they will come to Ampur Office.
Will post what happens for future reference & information to other members etc.

Needed 2 copies of Chanote (in my name). 2 copies of my Passport, 2 Copies of my passport translated into Thai.
I asked if I could put my name in the Blue Book.
Talked to one of the Supervisors & she informed me if I go back Thursday with same paperwork again plus the proof I have paid for the Condo (reciept I Got from Land Office with Chanote which I have).
I also need to go back with a Government officer (eg, Policeman, Govt.School Teacher ).
They must appear in person with their ID Card to sign to say I am the person which my Passport shows.
They will then add my name to the Blue Book for the Condo.

So why are you not transferring the Condo into your name ? Maybe its not completed ??
The other thing you need to be clear on, is that the entire ownership of this condo block is at least 51% Thai if Im not mistaken ?
eg 100 Condos and 51 of them are in Thai ownership

Condo is completed & is more than 51% Thai owned.
The Chanote is in my name I so why not put my name in the Blue Book if it is possible as proof of adress/residence.

Good luck with your visit to the Govt office. Take a cut lunch and originals of all your documents with you, as Im sure you might be 1 copy short and that could cost you hours ...

Went yesterday & my name was put in the Blue Book as the owner of the Condo.
However they explained that I could not use the Blue Book as proof of residence.
I had to apply for a Yellow book for proof of residence which I did yesterday.
My sons name was also put in the Blue book as Principal resident.
