Heydon has zero integrity or standing among honest and unbiased members of our community. He is only supported by right wing extremists like you Ronny :D .
Anyone who appears before this political withchunt of an inquiry from here on in just uses the Heydon defence:
Mr Heydon has maintained that he "overedlooked" the fact it was a Liberal Party event, despite receiving the invitation more than once, including attachments that indicated the event was a fundraiser.

What the Tories haven't been able to achieve in industrial relations reform through legislation since 1996 they have now delegated to Heydon and his henchmen. Howard and Costello's hate filled attacks on Australian workers lead to them being removed from power. Abbott will also ultimately be removed by the working people of Australia because of his blind hatred of those who represent us.

So far 71% reckon the RC made the right decision to stay on.

The so called witch-hunt, that keeps finding witches, is in fact finding huge corruption in the union movement.

It is in the interest of Australian workers for these corrupt people to be caught, convicted and removed from the industrial relations system.

Any fair minded observer would rightfully conclude the CMFEU is out of control and is running a protection racket, with a little help from Mick Gatto.

The biased rules on himself and explains his ruling and says that he is not biased - WHAT A SURPRISE.
You can buy it if you are that gullible and deluded. I say it's a politically motivated witch-hunt based on the Tory want to destroy the wages, conditions and lives of Australian workers to feather their own nests.

Maybe we should ask the rank and file of the CFMEU what they think and who they support. A Tory royal commissioner or their chosen representatives.

We have unions submitting that the RC is biased and asking him to step down.

The RC responds outlining his reasons why he is not biased. The reasoning is laid out clearly.

Let the unions challenge the response based on the logic, not emotion. I have yet to see a union refutation of the response

If the unions think they have a case, then take it to the high court, where the reasoning will be addressed on logic and law, not emotion.

Simples.

I doubt the unions will take it to the high court because it seems there is not a demonstrated case of bias.

Let the RC continue to root out and remove corruption in the union movement.

Unions once represented the cream of the working class, now they represent the dregs of the middle class, and professional criminals.

Shorten is the unions front man.

Shorten is in trouble.

"Dyson Heydon has presented the unions with a very clear message: put up or shut up.

His extensive reasons for refusing to step down from the royal commission are brutal.

They start by relating how the unions botched their legal case with basic errors and conclude by highlighting divisions between the ACTU and the CFMEU. He tore apart their argument — not just on the law, but on the facts. He is daring the unions to challenge his ruling and, if they do, it would probably make his day.

The only way forward for those trying to derail the royal commission is to seek judicial review, which would mean a limited argument on the grounds that Heydon, a former judge of the High Court, had made an error of law.

Just pause and consider the implications: that would mean persuading the Federal Court that Heydon, one of the most brilliant legal minds of his generation, made an error of law in the most important and final ruling of his career knowing full well that his enemies would be crawling all over it, looking for a *****…

Once the lawyers advising the anti-Heydon forces digest his 67 pages of reasons, it will dawn on them that their clients are on a hiding to nothing…

When [Heydon] needed to rule on what the hypothetical “fair- minded lay observer” would make of things, he went on for pages pointing to logical flaws in the ACTU’s argument. Whichever way the unions jump, they face utter humiliation
."

http://blogs.news.com.au/heraldsun/andrewbolt/

"The commission has uncovered evidence of the misuse of members’ money, bribery and corruption that has led to four arrests and 26 union members being referred to 11 agencies, including the Commonwealth Director of Public Prosecutions."
