You take the time to type out the list of products.
Why can you never put the price alongside the product for per Kilo or per 100 Gramme.
If you have special offers or discounts for for wholesale purchases state so.
It would be very easy for everyone to then decide to visit the shop with the list of things they want to buy instead of coming to the shop & looking in the fridges at prices.

I have been buying off Gourmet Meat for nearly 12 months now and I am happy with there prices and product.

I guess there is an old saying you can please most of your customers most of the time.

Maybe you should take your custom elsewhere!!!!!!!!!!!

It was a very simple request & not unreasonable.
I have bought many products from Gourmet Meats.
I bought a lot of cheese & Salami only last week.
Did I say I was not happy with the products I bought & not pleased.
Maybe you should stop criticizing other posts which do not meet with your pathetic standards.
Just for you macca46 I will compare prices of Gourmet Meats products with other outlets in Udon & post them.
I am sure Gourmet Meats will be very happy with your custom & comments

Advertising the price of your products is considered good business practice - particularly where you don't have a monopoly.

Not everyone lives within a stone's throw, and can just "drop in" on a whim to check out the prices.

I have no problem with Gourmet Meats, macca - in fact I often buy there myself.

However, I believe pal52 makes a valid point. There are few alternatives in Udon for the types of farang food that GM stocks, and a fair bit of travel within UT to check them all out, if you want to do a comparison.

It would be easy enough to advertise the current prices here, with a disclaimer that prices may vary from time to time - for whatever reason.

you could always call, easy enough, cost of a baht. nothing worse than driving 50km just to find their out of stock anyway. and then driving 50km home without what you wanted. it's nice to talk as they say. as jack say's
"Not everyone lives within a stone's throw, and can just "drop in" on a whim to check out the prices".
so always best to call first, while your at it you could ask the prices of the items you want , or they might tell you they have a special that's not been advertised... rocket science it is not.
waste a baht and save yourself a 100km journey. i'm also sure if someone asks a specific question gourmet will answer it , well within a few days, that's because his marketing department are busy  or maybe he don't spend all day on the computer waiting for someone to ask the price of a sausage as he has customers to deal with.

sound right macca, I don't know how many jars he will sell, nor does jimmy, so to make sure, especially if it's a long journey just enquire. it's not hard. god knows how many times I go to Tesco just to find out they sold out of chicken breast , wish I could call them and say save me 10kg, save me time and money for sure, friggin Tesco , and they change the price daily. perhaps I could give them my number so they can call me anytime the run out or have a special offer... because i'm special . WTF is wrong with people that they just can't pick up a phone, don't see people moaning about Tesco are not telling them the price of tea bags today, or even if they sold out. Pomps is good, he always tells us if there's an offer on. I tried once putting on about cheap choco at Tesco, apparently the offer finished the next day.. and it was my fault WTF. anyway lets leave this silly crap and get back on thread

Not to prolong this - but I would suggest comparing the market driven price of local chicken breasts at Tesco, with the price of frozen pies and pasties from Phuket, or imported meats from Oz/NZ, is a bit silly. [-(

But perhaps reversing the laws of marketing does actually work in UT. :-k

so prices and availability from small suppliers are different to any other retailers ? and yes you are prolonging it for no reason. get this JS, chicken in Tesco is not local. but if you want carry on dissing another advertisers thread for your own amusement carry on.. by the way what local thai retail outlet do you operate ... back to the thread please

to me all these shops whom are advertising their articles without prices are probably to expensive or so overpriced they are shy to post the price  ,even i live near udon now , before 45km away , i still do not bother to stop at these places ( this shop is 3km from our home ) because i think for the reason posted above they are too expensive ...
if i would have a business where i am 100% convinced i have good prices , i would surely not mind posting them to attract as many as possible customers.... but to all his own business plan , as long as it works for you .... ;)

We sell the meat out of the freezer in the sportsbar which is convinient for some living in town. Everything is priced on the packages per weight per item. Pretty simple have a look at Jimmy's shop and compare it to others. If its too expensive or you can purchace ie lamb or sausages that are cheaper or better quality so be it. At least after the 8 years in happy udon town you can see the price on display

Just back from GM and got the pickles and beetroot.

Both yummy.

Also got my fix of meats etc for the next 2 weeks of Footie and Rugby etc.

K. For a retail outlet to run 8-9 freezers and a chiller for cold cuts and cheeses etc it needs power and that might be 7-9K per month perhaps.

For me not that i eat very much expat food I do appreciate the expat outlets that are provided to us in Udon Province.

Lamb isnt a local product and is imported just as Australian Beef is.

Buy local thai french beef. Buy the SP sausages ( plastic as my GF calls them )

A product should not be judged on its price first IMO.
