Social Motorcycle ride

I have been thinking about putting together a day ride. Nice and easy ride. Thai Bo to Sri Chaing Mai along the river and over the mountain to Nom Som. Have lunch on the river check a view spot most people don't go to. Leave around 0900 be back in Udon 1700 Hours. A friend and I will be doing it. Not date sit yet anyone have any interest in exploring?

More then likely you won't be the only on a Phantom.

Saturday the 14 th we leave from the PTT gas Station on Nong Khai Hwy ( 2 )

The on to Tha Bo 211 along the river Lunch at Song Khom

40 Klms north turn into the National Forrest nice short twisty section, to Nam Som.

We can go back to Tha Bo and return to Udon.

Or we can go through Ban Phu, back to 2 and the 2 to Udon.

Basically that will be the finish of the ride, each one can go wherever they want. I will be returning home to Udon

The will be a slow and easy ride, anyone is welcome.

Best guess between 300 and 350 L Klms

Please let me know if your coming so we make sure we have everybody when w leave the PTT gas Station

Very, very tempting. That would be PTT just past Ring Road headed toward Nong Khai. Correct?

I'll look for a 700 with a GoPro on the left handlebar.

Hi,I'm new to ud map and would like to come on the ride this Saturday.the only problem is I've got is I ride a fully charged Ducati monster 795 and can't seem to keep it under 170kph,also as its Saturday morning I'll still be pissed as I don't get in till about 6 in the morning,so if I set off at 10.30 I'll meet you all there hopefully,maybe,or with a bit of luck.

Hi my last post was just pulling your leg.ive just read about a Ducati rider out on a run with the lads in petchaburi and while a truck was doing a u turn he's run into it killing himself.rip mate.i think I'll stay at home this Friday and lay off the pop.also I will have to fit a rev limiter to tame my beast.or I could use my Yamaha mio 125rr,mind you it feels more of a death trap than the duke if you ask me.a big bike is like a gun,they are both very dangerous in the wrong hands.hope to see you Saturday morning.must dash,the gf needs her rug washing with my tongue.

Trip Plan for Saturday

Trip plan for Saturday the 14th

Leave PTT Gas Station on Nong Khai Hwy 0900 to 211 and Tha Bo, Ride the promenade at Sri Chiang Mai on to the water falls we will go left at the juncture follow that to the first road to right to the Wat on the hill ( Great view )

We back track to 211 and then lunch at Sangkhom

North on 211 approximately 40 l;ms, Left turn into the National Forest on to Nam Som.

Once we are in Nam Som we have to choices we c can back to Tha B0 ( longer way)

Or on to Ban Phu ( down side road construction )

Bot will take us back to Hwy 2 and Udon Either way is OK depends on what the group wants to do.
