Same as BKK,easier or harder????????? :-s :-s
Carlos?
Been busy last few days..

Yes the Udon Customs/Immig seems to be handled by a group of Police Officers? They wear the brown uniform, jackets with the shield/crest emblem..

The ones I have spoken with in Udon airport on my most recent two flights Spore-UT so far have been friendly and professional..just make sure you check which visa they give you especially if you have a "O" make sure you get the 90 day stamp & not the 30 day..

Well having experienced both immigration and customs on arrival not too bad overall. Immigration, go up the escalator, long queue as Thai passport holders don't have separate lines. Personnel , very pleasant, good morning and all, But watch the new style arrival form. You have to turn it over and complete both sides, a lot never spotted that, with the consequent delay while they did. Customs, the usual, no problem, just grabbing the likely looking scruffs who might be carrying contraband for a detailed search.
As someone previously said, much the same as Bangkok but friendlier. =D>

Val, does that mean that you did LHR to Singapore, then Udon, rather than LHR/BKK???
If so, how did it go??
I need to go back to UK for a short time in May/June & with all the hassle of the BKK new airport/old airport that was the way I was thinking of going & coming....

Thanks for the info Val (and additional on the other post).
Don't fancy Gatwick tho, will have to have a search & see what is available (& timings).

Emirates also fly from Birmingham, but that is probably only to Bangkok.

I took their Udon-Pattaya early morning flight and the patungco was excellent with coffee while we watched the morlam video offerings.

I hate to say it Wokka but your probably right. My wife normally travels with me and generally does all the form filling as I can never find my glasses, but this time I was alone so was completely lost. Whatever can I do without the little lady.
