New thread for next season EPL 2015/16

I couldn't agree more. Newcastle were very fortunate having played much better in recent games with little or no reward. The fans who made the long and arduous journey must have been very happy despite the stupid kick off time to suit the TV companies. Mind boggling.

Sent from my Anus - sorry Asus.

Another handful of biscuits for the Toffees. Have you been sledging the Toffees this week Uncle? Your unkind words might have returned to bite you if the universe works that way. :D

Well, what a strange season this is proving to be... :D
Against my better judgement I watched the United game.
3 points, but what a disappointment. United maintain possession for large periods of the game by passing the ball sideways & backwards. It was not until Watford equalised, with minutes remaining, that they made any use of the ball at all.
If other sides start playing like this then the Premiership will swiftly become as attractive to watch as Serie A. :( I wouldn't pay good money to attend this, winning or not.

Leicester top the table.. as Jamie Vardy matches Rudd's record. He really is having a season & a half this year, as are the complete side. Having a similar one next season is the trick that is all too often beyond players though.

The Gunners & Citi lose.. Both rather a shock.
Arsenal should have at least taken a point except for a penalty miss. Arsene's sides still seem to struggle against physical & hard working sides. They often played some pretty football in this game, but the end result was all too often poor. They are playing a more attractive version of the Manchester United keep ball, but even the 73% possession (away from home  ) counts for nothing. It is balls in the back of the net that matter & the Baggies did twice as well with their meagre possession.

Well, Citi have ripped into sides from the off sometimes this season, but they were undone by a Pool side that did it to them. The visitors scored 3 in a dazzling display of first half football that suggests they might be onto a genuine winner with manager Jurgen Klopp.
Winning a la ManU might keep the owners happy, winning in this sort of style is what all fans desire though!!

If anyone on Udon Map would have predicted at the start of the season that Leicester would be top of the table in the 3rd week of November, they would have had their membership suspended indefinitely for trolling !
What a result for Liverpool \:D/ and for Manchester City  I actually gave a lot of thought to making Citeh my Banker on IKTS this week but it would appear I have wisely chosen Crystal Palace instead.....unless 8-[
With Arsenal also losing its been a good weekend for Manchester United, also and with Memphis being the star man who will play as the main striker against PSV Eindhoven.....Memphis,Martial or Rooney ?...assuming all are fit.
Another desperate weekend for fans of Villa and Newcastle but a great win for Stoke at Southampton.

Just back from the palm tree fringed paradise that is Maha Sarakham :-s so just catching up on the footie results !

As should happen to this threads two leading posters for both inadvertently overlooking, or choosing not, to provide your valued, insightful comments on, Chelsea's triumphant return to form :-s in the convincing :-s 1-0 home win over, soon to be returning to Championship football, Norwich [-X [-X . Wonder when was the last time, if ever, you both failed to comment on a Chelsea EPL game, in your results summaries =; Hope your respective fences come complete with comfortable cushions \:D/ \:D/ \:D/
Ditto, your apparent unwillingness to date, to express a considered opinion as to the cause behind this season's remarkable decline in the performances of this star studded squad of seasoned international players :-" :-$ [-( A decline the timing of which is common to the squad as a whole and therefore, by definition, the cause must also be some single factor shared in common by each member of the group. :-k

Tottenham 4-1 West Ham
Spurs equal their club record by going 12 unbeaten all a bit too easily.
The Hammers scored a late consolation goal as they seem to be repeating last seasons' good start followed by a slump.
Spurs producing some attractive stuff, especially at home. This is the 3rd. time that they have scored 3 or more goals in the last 4 home games.

Thanks Zidane, but I hadn't forgotten. I tend to be very early to bed, early to rise these days, so 3 am not so much of a problem as it would be for some. Bit worried actually - for a Palace fan, it all looks TOO rosy. Palace going well, Sunderland not so.Wickham, against former club and much-liked, long-term absentee Chamakh (can't remember spelling!) both fit again and apparently sure to feature(good as we're struggling for a central striker). I hope my concerns prove unfounded. :-k

Crystal Palace 0-1 Sunderland
Indeed Brian, it is, as Greavie used to say, a funny old game. :D

It was, by all accounts as I have not seen the game, a typical Allardyce like performance by Sunderland. They will need plenty more of those if they want to move away from danger though & the rumour that goal scorer Defoe might be on his way in January would not help one bit, if true.
Another weekend game where the losing side had the bulk of the possession (here 67%) but couldn't make it count..

When you 'lose' the dressing room it normally means the boss and the club are 'cattle trucked'. Be very scared 'Toon'.

I was feeling I couldn't see Palace winning tomorrow for various reasons, not least just a gut sense having followed them for years. With the Newcastle problems, perversely strengthens the case for Palace NOT getting three points!

More worrying is that I have picked Palace as my Banker on IKTS again.....
Surely they cant lose two easy looking home matches (on paper at least) in a row ? [-o<

Sunderland 2-0 Stoke City
Manchester City 3-1 Southampton
AFC Bournemouth 3-3 Everton
Crystal Palace 5-1 Newcastle United
Aston Villa 2-3 Watford
Leicester City 1-1 Manchester United

Good win for Sunderland who now move out of the bottom 3.
City back on top but another Aguero injury scare.
Exciting game at Bournemouth who are gamely plugging away against the odds.
Brian drinking champagne.....but socksys bitter ! ;)
Villa look a mid-table Championship side but Watford are doing well in the Premiership.
Finally,congratulations to Jamie Vardy of Leicester who broke Ruud Van Nistelrooys record by scoring in 11 consecutive Premiership matches ! =D> In contrast Uniteds Wayne Rooney looks completely shot.He's been a great goalscorer for United over the years but he's not been worth his place in the team all season and has only been Championship standard.....300k a week for those performances.....your 'aving a larf ! =;
