Shocking result for Scunthorpe which must surely put manager,Mark Robins,under pressure.
Cheltenham and Forest Green continue to set the pace at the top of the Conference.
Disappointment for Woking but Macclesfield now up to 7th after a fourth straight win.
Congrats to Rangers who have reached the final of the Scottish Challenge Cup where they will face Peterhead.

Well done to The Robins and Macc town ...alas the Iron fared lass well .. indeed a shocking result and even most die hard Scunny fans must be wondering where the club goes from here , totally unacceptable performance all be it a against the leagues current form team Peterboro Utd....as for Robins future im hoping the Chairman Mr Swann is as ruthless as he promised to be and was dumping previous dead wood managers and players.

Not a good night for the smaller clubs in the competition.
All the weightier opponents progressed easily. It might be a bit tighter tonight between the Saints & Pool.

Having watched the highlights of each match from last night, there's no doubt that the outstanding players on the night were De Bruyne of City and Deulofeu of Everton who both showed great skill. =D>

Bolton were in the Premiership just 3 years ago but now bottom of the Championship and 172.9 million GBP in debt....the future doesnt look good.......players werent paid at the end of November.

Bolton in 'increasingly perilous' financial position - Birch
Bolton Wanderers' financial situation is "increasingly perilous", according to the Championship club's recently-appointed advisor Trevor Birch.
Owner Eddie Davies is not prepared to invest any more money while the club is for sale, and negotiations led by Birch have so far failed to secure a buyer.
"The club's position is increasingly perilous and new investment is needed quickly," said Birch.
Players were not paid last month "due to a short-term funding issue".
Davies is willing to write off Bolton's £172.9m debt in order to push through a deal for the Championship's bottom side.
"We are continuing to negotiate with interested parties but unfortunately no one party has demonstrated all the requisite elements needed to conclude a deal," said Birch, who is leading the negotiations after chairman Phil Gartside fell ill.
Former Bolton striker Kevin Davies said the club had been "totally mismanaged from the top" by being so "heavily reliant" on one benefactor.
"They must have known this day was going to come," he said. "He's obviously not putting any money in now and there's no money anywhere else. You have to question who is doing the budgeting."
Davies added that believed without a buyer, the club could be in administration "by the end of the week" - to which Birch replied that the club was "continuing to negotiate with various interested parties".
Bolton's parachute payments following relegation from the top flight three years ago run out at the end of the season and manager Neil Lennon has struggled to bring in new players given the financial constraints.
Birch and representatives of the Professional Footballers' Association met with Bolton's players on Tuesday to outline the situation.
PFA chief Gordon Taylor told BBC Sport he was "working to keep the players involved" with the ongoing situation at the club, and added that a deal to buy the club was needed "soon".
Birch added: "The players remain upbeat and committed to doing all they can to help the club through this difficult time."
Bolton drew 1-1 with Brentford on Monday night and afterwards Lennon told BBC Radio Manchester: "I think something like this can make you stronger.
"A couple of wins will change the whole landscape of things, but it's getting those wins. We keep knocking on the door and just falling short."

Oh dear, so much for my prediction that this would be a tight affair...
The hosts actually went ahead with a minute gone, but it was downhill from then. 3 to 1 infront by half time, Pool scored 3 again in the second half. The fit again (??) Sturridge scored twice in 4 first half minutes & Divock Origi (who ?) scored a hat trick.
From his hour long display, Klopp & Pool fans must hope that Sturridge has put his troubles behind him. He showed just what the side miss without him - a real cutting edge...

Not very friendly football playing conditions as far as the weather was concerned yesterday.
In the North, it was the wet that caused issues & cancellations, while in the South the games went ahead, but in blustery conditions that made some games a bit of a lottery.
That was with certainly the case with the Scunthorpe game & they will be happy to try it again at home.
Town took advantage of Forest Green & Grimsby not playing to go 4 points clear at the top.
Macclesfield will be disappointed that their winning run has come to an end. Both sides reduced to 10 men after only 20 minutes & both sides given a penalty can make for a strange game though.
The win moves FC United of Manchester out of the zone on goal difference, It is mighty tight at the bottom of the league though, with 14th. place only 2 points clear of 20th. To make it even harder to know who will face relegation there are up to 2 games played difference between those teams. FC United of Manchester are one who have 2 more to play than some of their rivals - but you have to get points from them!!

Gary Neville had a good first game as coach of Valencia as they drew at home to Barcelona. Sadly one of the few predictions I got right.

Spare a thought for little Northwich Victoria,the lowest ranked team who were left in the FA Cup.
They were leading 2-0 at Northampton with 7 minutes to go but conceded 3 goals in 4 minutes to lose 3-2.

Honduran international footballer Arnold Peralta has been shot dead while on holiday in his hometown.

He was killed in the car park of a shopping centre in La Ceiba, on the country's Caribbean coast. The motive for the attack is unclear.

The 26-year-old midfielder for Olimpia, in the capital Tegucigalpa, played for Glasgow Rangers until January.

No arrests have been made. Police ruled out robbery as a possible motive because Peralta had not had his belongings taken.

He represented Honduras at the 2012 Olympic Games in London but was ruled out of the 2014 Brazil World Cup squad through injury.

He had been due to play for the national team in a friendly against Cuba next week.

Peralta played for the Glasgow club 24 times between summer 2013 and January 2015, scoring once.

Honduran international footballer Arnold Peralta has been shot dead while on holiday in his hometown.

A sad story about Peralta but heres a story to lighten the mood.....after the widespread floods in Cumbria last weekend,3 Koi carp were found swimming in the Carlisle FC goalmouth at Brunton Park !

Storm Desmond: Koi Carp found in Carlisle's flooded goalmouth

Two days after Carlisle United staff began the clear up of flooded Brunton Park, staff have made their most bizarre discovery yet - three Koi Carp swimming in the goalmouth.
Groundsman Dave Mitchell was helping repair the damage caused by Storm Desmond, which began on 4 December, when he found the fish at the Waterworks End of the League Two club's ground.
The storm flooded thousands of homes in Cumbria and Lancashire and causing widespread damage and power cuts.
Carlisle United tweeted a picture of the fish, adding "unbelievable".
Championship side Preston North End have agreed to host Carlisle's next home match against Notts County on 19 December, while the "daunting" work to clean-up Brunton Park is carried out.
