Well done to Leicester. They have been a breath of fresh air in the Premiership this season.I dont know about them winning the title as they have yet to have a dodgy spell or suffer a few injuries but even if they could get 4th and a Champions League slot it would be a magnificent achievement.
Cant believe how much Vardy has improved this season and in Mahrez they have unearthed a real gem.
Who would have thought Chelsea would have been 1 point off the relegation places in mid December. 9 league defeats already this season......they are making Moyes season at United one of incredible triumph in comparison !

Zid, Aren't you greatly underestimating Mourinho's remarkably successfully 'failures', both in the past and ongoing When he has orchestrated enough mayhem at Chelsea FC, and undermined enough of the players to finally goad his latest, uniquely lenient, Sugar Daddy into to sacking him, (which is clearly his intention),he will receive a mega payout, which will dwarf the three previous amounts he has received, from consecutive employers, in identical scenarios Mind you, at this stage, Mourinho must be at desperation point, wondering what else he can do to finally get his hands on all that lovely lolly!
How Mourinho must have enjoyed his private joke, and play on words, when referring to Wenger as 'an expert in failure'. Hardly in Mourinho's class. Get it?
Mind you, there may yet be a further delay, since there is a rumour that PSG have contacted Chelsea with an offer to pay Mourinho's salary, if his sacking is delayed until after the upcoming Champions League matches between the two clubs. There is even the suggestion PSG have offered to play both legs with only ten men again, if Mourinho is retained! :-"
It seems also that, following his latest public and heartfelt expressions of support, loyalty, respect and admiration for his players the whole squad at Chelsea, led by Mourinho's number one fan, (Hazard), have petitioned for his remaining as Manager, even promising to remain at the club next season, and fight their way back into the EPL!

This from Jose, also, after the defeat at Leicester......not likely to endear him to his players
Jose Mourinho: Chelsea boss feels work was 'betrayed' by players
Chelsea manager Jose Mourinho said he felt his "work was betrayed" following his side's 2-1 defeat by Premier League table toppers Leicester City.
The defending champions suffered their ninth league loss in 16 games as Jamie Vardy and Riyad Mahrez scored for the Foxes at an individual Power Stadium.
It leaves the Blues in 16th position, just a point above the relegation zone.
"One of my best qualities is to read the game for my players and I feel like my work was betrayed," said Mourinho.
"One possibility is that I did an amazing job last season and brought the players to a level that is not their level and now they can't maintain it."
Chelsea qualify comfortably in the Champions League but 1 point above the relegation places in the Premier League, would tend to suggest to me that the players are playing for themselves and not the manager ?

Descriptions that come to mind include, egomanic, of questionable mental & emotional stability, afflicted with multi tiered paranoia, a totally selfish introvert, and possessing a God complex in regard to his own infallibility. On the credit side, ( :-" he is arrogant, conceited, lacking in respect for others, particularly his peers, and a proven bully. Finally, since he has managed to keep them a complete secret, he is an expert at hiding his good qualities!

On a serious note; I understand what you are saying Zid, , but I think that is a little too simplistic, and unfair to the players. Consider your likely state of mental confusion and frustration, had you had to suffer under JM managership 24x7 for the past two/three seasons! t [-o<

Yes, you have to feel sorry for him..
Apparently he will NOT collect the £40 Million that his contract is valid for ( ), he will only collect the remainder of the £12 Million that he would have been paid for this season...
I guess that there will be plenty of clubs phoning him already about a summer start..
I gather ManU will figure high on that list.. Personally I am not sure that his brand of football would go down there much better than vanG's is. However there is no doubting that he is a trophy getter...
A swap with Munich ??? Certainly makes a trip to Citi no longer a certainty for Pep...

Wherever he has gone Jose has inherited a good team, improved it for a couple of seasons, then the cracks have started to show and he's off but nothing as alarming as what has happened at Chelsea this season.
It started going pear shaped for him at Stamford Bridge with his shoddy treatment of the club doctor,Dr.Eva Carneiro.
She was very popular with the players and its only human nature that some of the players would start to resent Mourinho. Then he started having a go at individual players.....bringing on Matic as a sub then taking him off after 20 minutes being a prime example.Saying he felt betrayed by his players this week was the final straw.
All the things that went wrong were never his fault. It was the fault of the referees, the media, the physios, the FA,the ball boys, the players,mathusalah80 etc.
Its his huge ego and the fact he can never admit to a mistake that have been his downfall. He must be a nightmare to work with/for after a while.
Where will he go to next ? I cant see it being Manchester United or Bayern Munich tbh.Maybe a big club like AC Milan who crave instant success after a few years in the doldrums.
But bad news for the fans of Scunthorpe United.....thats there chance of a giant killing down the pan !
Anyway,an appeal to the footie fans on the forum not to clog the thread up today as mat80 will be primed on his PC to give his verdict later !!
