Going by the photos all of the players look like hardened criminals and should be deported at once to keep the clean up standing name of Pattaya dragging in the dirt with this dastardly crime ... the 84 year old "ring leader" the Swedish lady in the picture was later discovered to have a dark past as she ran an underground Embroidery syndicate in her native country prior to arriving in Thailand .

The farcical thing is there is a national Bridge league, with international championships sponsored by Bangkok bank. Check that it is not played for money is OK, but this raid is a massive show of police incompetence.

Stand easy. It's an amusing story unless you were an octogenarian playing bridge in Pattaya. I hope you've got your excuses ready Rick for those extra packs of cards at home.

Arguably the greatest act of police incompetence in the last 100 years was in November 1963 at the Dallas Police Headquarters. This doesn't go close!

Oh dear. Rock spiders from all over the world travel to Thailand and South-East Asia and the Thai police have the resources to raid a bridge club in a sin city.
