True Fiber Internet Connection

Post by Charlieb » March 15, 2016, 6:17 pm

I currently have ToT Fiber at 30 Mps. I don't have any real complaints with it except the same issues as most everyone. While i can get to Bangkok at 30 Mps, I rarely have a need for anything from Bangkok or other Thai locations. To England or the states I am lucky to get 4 Mps. I watch all TV and movies via the net. I have no satellite or cable connection for TV

True just came by and offered me 30 Mps at a cost which is over 300 Baht less than I am paying for ToT. Plus they will give me a free internet TV box. I don't really need that as I already have two Android boxes.

My question is does anyone have experience good or bad with True Fiber? I would hate jump to another provider to save a few Baht only to find myself in much worse condition than before with internet service.

Suggestions?

I have True Fibre and I'm very happy with the service.
My neighbour has TOT and it's always dropping out apparently... much like the 3BB I had before.
AIS Fibre is currently the cheapest (for similar package), but I'm sticking with True.

Don't they all piggyback off of CAT for international routes anyway?

switched from 3BB to True fibre optic 30 mg/100 channel TV/ 1 wifi sim phone sim card with 100 free minutes- 799 promotion package two wks. ago. We like it better than the old 3BB. True had to come out one time to change the f/o cable to router snap in fitting. Since then, no problemo- super smooth & quite fast.

We lived in the Nong Bua area of Udon until last April. We had transferred our True Hi-Speed account from Bangkok with very little fuss. The fibre optic with True Internet TV was excellent.I had a coouple of tech problems, which were quickly fixed.
For a time we had 3BB, who seemed okay, but transferring our True account made more sense.
We now live in Melbourne and still unable to get anywhere near the speeds or service we got in Thailand.
Australia is so far behind Thailand when it comes to internet and service.
