And Southampton completed a comfortable 4-2 win against a weakened Manchester City side who had one eye on Wednesdays Champions League semi final against Real Madrid and next Sundays important Premiership clash against Arsenal.....

Manchester City's hopes of qualifying for the Champions League remain in the balance as a brilliant Sadio Mane hat-trick secured Southampton an easy win.
Shane Long struck at the near post and Mane doubled the lead from 10 yards before City's Kelechi Iheanacho scored.
Mane then pounced twice to make sure of the win - reacting quickly as Jose Fonte's header came off the crossbar and converting Dusan Tadic's pass.
Iheanacho found the top-right corner late on but the match was all but over.

Tonight its Chelsea v Spurs......they think its all over, but is it ?

Citi in 4th, & 4 points ahead of United who have a game in hand.
I think something remarkable will have to happen to both Citi & United for the later to claim a Champion's League spot.
The talk is without that (even if he wins the FA Cup) vanG will be shown the door.
Personally I will welcome that as I think the Sunday game showed that they have youth talent by the bucket load at the club. It just needs a man who can harness & use that talent with a few added extras.
Unfortunately I don't see the no longer such a special one the man for the job either...

I thought LvG was making reasonable comments about a reaction if someone was pulling your hair, but then the sex comment. Well, perhaps he's not as boring as he appears and we know what he gets up to on his days off.

[quote="Zidane"]Leicester deserved winners of the Premiership which I expect them to achieve tomorrow when the Spuds fail to beat Chelsea.

Is that ' Zidspeak' for forecasting a draw? \:D/ \:D/ .
Seriously Zid, I Keep telling you I'm a romantic at heart. No disrespect to either Chelsea or Everton, but my fairytale requires that Leicester finally win the EPL , at home and in front of their fantastic fans, by picking up the necessary points by beating Everton; scorers Vardy, Mahrez and lastly, my outstanding Player of the 2015-16 Season, the unsung Wes Morgan! =D> =D> =D> \:D/ \:D/

Fantastic leicester Double: Selby World Champion & City Champions of England. I'm sure Toffees will be proud to provide the customary Guard of Honour at the weekend. Who knows, they may even beat the Champions on their Home Turf!

Barclays Premier League

Chelsea 2-2 Tottenham
The 5,000 to 1 shot just came home.
Leicester City are the most popular & worthy winners of the Premiership for a number of years.
Incredible story - last year battling relegation, losing the manager in unusual, non footballing circumstances but now top of the pile.
The pre-season 'favourites' for the title may have all aided their own failures to grasp the prize, but that takes nothing away from Leicester. They have worked for each other, with no weakspots, in every game for every minute.
Congratulations to worthy winners...

5000-1.....wow if you put a tenner on them at the start of the season you wouldn't have to worry about funding your visa based on retirement ! 8)

Well done to the foxes. Their season and success gives hope to all supporters of clubs in any football code or competition that have to compete against bigger and more well resourced clubs. A champion team finished above all of those teams of champions.
Also well done to the Spurs who under any other circumstances would have had many neutrals hoping that they would go all the way. Let's hope their team can maintain their standards and perform well in the league and champions league next season.
And of course from me, the albeit extremely tenuous, Aussie connection : http://theworldgame.sbs.com.au/article/ ... -fairytale

Perhaps the English should sell their national football team to a rich Thai dude and then get the opportunity for some great success. It might be worth a try after a bit of a lean period since 1966. :D

Congratulations to Leicester. There are some fascinating stories behind their success.

Thanks Zid.
Nothing more severe than a lack of 3BB Internet - came back on about half an hour ago.
Nong Sim & the surrounds took some heavy damage yesterday afternoon though. At least half a dozen trees uprooted in the park...

Yesterdays results......

Norwich 0 Manchester United 1......Norwich almost certainly relegated now.
Aston Villa 0 Newcastle 0.....if you cant beat Villa you deserve to go down.
Bournemouth 1 West Brom 1.....predictable.
Crystal Palace 2 Stoke 1.......Stoke must be bad.
Sunderland 3 Chelsea 2.....Great win for Sunderland who will stay up if they beat Everton in midweek.
West Ham 1 Swansea 4.....Ah well,I've got West Ham as my Banker on IKTS,plus bringing Payet and Carroll into my FF team....nobody should be surprised by this result ! ](*,)
Leicester 3 Everton 1.....comfortable win for the champions over a poor Everton team.

Todays games.....
The Spuds v Southampton,7.30pm Thai
Liverpool v Watford,10.00pm Thai
Man City v Arsenal,10.00pm Thai

Glad to hear you are OK,Bob,after having to go through the shocking ordeal of no internet connection ! :D

"Aston Villa 0 Newcastle 0.....if you cant beat Villa you deserve to go down".

Totally agree Zid. Apparently they played with no fight, aggression or passion against the worst side in the League. The players should hang their heads in shame playing like that in a desperate situation and now need help from Everton and Watford as well as beating 'Spuds'. A huge task and out of their hands.

So Leicester City won the Battle of "The Mints" "Foxes Glacier" v "Everton". No major surprise there Poor performance from "the Toffees" Just about sums their Season Up. Regroup and spend the Summer sunning themselves in New Brighton, about all they can afford. R. M. can spend his Summer replaying many of his "Press Conferences" May give him an idea why the fans are so disgruntled! better not visit Prenton Park in a Pre-Season Friendly could be a tad embarrassing

Last nights results....
The Spuds 1 Southampton 2
Man Citeh 2 Arsenal 2 \:D/
Liverpool 2 Watford 0

United have been so poor for most of this season,so I cant believe its in their own hands to qualify for the Champions League now !
City.....Guardiola arriving to a big fanfare but no Champions League football next season...it could happen.
The match that will decide 4th place in the Premiership is West Ham v Man Utd tomorrow, which will be the last ever game at the Boleyn Ground. If United win they will surely make it with Bournemouth at home the final match next weekend.
The Spuds, obviously flat after missing out on the title, will have to be careful Arsenal don't overhaul them for 2nd spot.
Liverpool continuing to do well.I think they will win the Europa League and be in the top 4 of the EPL next season =;
