drilling in Tha Bo district that borders the Mekong?? Surely the Mekong water can't be any worse than some of the village ponds used for public water sources?

It's too early to say how much rain we'll get....but not too early to say what's falling at Kilo 18 will at least be a measurable rainfall. And when it's been bone dry for a few months, that's saying something.

Any rain will ensure I do not have to water the garden for today at least, if very hot tomorrow then on a reprieve for one day BUT if cooler tomorrow then maybe two days of no watering.
Any rain is a bonus at this time of the year.

Tanks overflowing, puddles all over the lawn, trees down and branches snapped off, water , water everywhere, the intensity of the last 30 minutes reminded me of a tropical storm of some magnitude, however the forecast is for the next few days 38-41 degrees, so the rain was sorely needed and very welcome, even if the clearing up will take a few days as well.

A total of about two and a half inches (64mm) in Ban Jan. Really happy to see this rain. Much needed. This is the first time in the past 9 years that I haven't watered my grass during the dry season. We are on city water and with the drought concerns I decided to only water the potted plants but not the grass. Felt a bit guilty just watering the potted plants.

1.8 inches at kilo 18. Looks like lots of wind damage in Nongwahsaw and Nonghan areas.....judging from Thai news websites.

nice drenching rain last night.. I'd say at least 25mm in our area.. The downside were the multiple power outages starting around 8:30PM..

118.6 mm of rain here, 22 km's east of Udon, last night. Started around 20.00 hrs, still slight drizzle at 06.00 hrs. Radar shows more coming today. No strong winds, just solid soaking rains.
PS: the internet weatherman said 50% possibility of 1 mm last night. Well he got the 1st number correct!!! =D>

Ok, 4 and one half inches fell last night between 2000 and 0545, having measured the empty bowl left outside last night by my orchids, no overhang from the house just rain.

I'm not sure if this will help anyone but I find this weather site link to be "reasonably accurate", especially the radar on clouds and rain. May help someone's outing plans?
It may have already been posted on here, if so, sorry for the double-up.

Dingo,
Thanks for the Website. What I like about it are the wind directional arrows. This could possibly let me know when a storm is approaching.
