That Soda is a bit masculine for my liking, she certainly knows how to handle a snake a bit too well! I can see the Miley Cyrus likeness in her pics but it's the ressemblence to Billy Ray that concerns me!

The 4 Thai men who attacked the British family in Hua Hin have each been sentenced to 2 years in prison.

Well are they really in Jail OR out on bail waiting for appeal..Nothing said about any fine..But thanks for the info,have to say that was a quick trail,nothing in the Thai papers,atleast i haven't seen any info regaring this trail.

To compare the Thai High-så young lady who killed 9 people and get what,in reallity nothing..Thailand and the Thai laws,one for the rich and famous,the other for the poor..nothing new.. that happens to in my homecountry Sweden now and then.

A court in Thailand has sentenced four men to two years in prison for a vicious assault on a holidaying British couple in their 60s and their 43-year-old son that left them unconscious in the street.
Lewis and Rosemary Owen, aged 68 and 65, were visiting the beachside resort town of Hua Hin with their son, Lewis, for Thai New Year celebrations when several men attacked them in the early hours of 13 April.
Hua Hin provincial court sentenced the Thai men on Sunday to four years in prison but reduced the jail term by two years after the accused confessed. Two were aged 32 and two were aged 20.
After sentencing the four men were taken directly to Prachuap Kiri Khan Provincial Prison.
Orasa Awutkhom, the director of the Prachuap Khiri Khan tourism office, was quoted in the Bangkok Post as saying that Thai officials would inform the family of the court’s decision.

Good job there not in an English Prison even convicts have codes and attracting OAP's like these scum did would have have resulted in a harsh lesson and a reminder it is not acceptable to beat OAP's.

Witnesses said that a young woman, his ex-girlfriend, visited him expecting to be given money as usual. However, the elderly Swiss man refused her latest demand.

Sounds like he was finished playing but she wanted him to keep paying.

In this case it is violence by Thais vs sex tourist , which is a little different. Getting involved with prostitutes is always going to hold some risk.

Blimey,this fellow was 76 and his "girlfriend" in her 20's !
A lot of the posters here on Udon Map are aged 76 or over !

I think the lesson to be learned is that it doesn't matter if you are 19 or 90......if you upset the wrong Thai you can expect a good kicking,regardless !

I'm impressed with the elderly victim's enthusiasm for extra-curricular activity. Perhaps a lot of our posters might not be so impressed.
