I hope this is not an indication that I am going to have to put up with yet another smartarse adding to my misery during this upcoming season, 747 :( [-X
I am going to have more than enough on my plate, trying to contend with, and control :-s , Messrs. Zid & Statto -thought we had got rid of HIM  ;) and Socksby's weekly tearing out of hair & rages- and, with the disaster of his return to management in the EPL, suffer the renewal of The Mouth's unending campaign to undermine all that is good about the EPL in particular, and football in general. That's even without taking into account the likelihood of, at some time during the season, being obliged to watch the likes of Everton & Newcastle, making a mockery of the beautiful game.
Currently, the only rays of sunshine I have been able to discern are the appointment of Big Sam,( don't you agree Zid/Statts  ), and that posts by DM are likely to be minimal, since he will be pre-occupied on that "other thread" commenting on the results of his band of country yokels impersonating a football team, whilst playing on their local cow patch. \:D/ \:D/
Let the season, and battle, commence, and let's all have an enjoyable season. :D \:D/ =D>

From Sky

FIVE WITHOUT NUMBERS AT EVERTON

Everton manager Ronald Koeman appears to have signalled his intentions regarding his squad after five players were not given a shirt number for the forthcoming season.

Strikers Oumar Niasse, Conor McAleny and Leandro Rodriguez, winger Aiden McGeady and defender Luke Garbutt were all left out of the initial allocation confirmed by the club.

Niasse, Everton's third most expensive signing for £13.5m, only arrived in January from Lokomotiv Moscow but managed just 152 minutes of competitive football.

Things moving at a pace now in toffeeville ....

DAVIES SIGNS NEW DEAL

Everton youngster Tom Davies has pledged his future to the club by signing a new five-year deal at Goodison Park.

The 18-year-old midfielder made his debut for Everton last season as a substitute in the 1-1 draw with Southampton, then managed by new Toffees boss Ronald Koeman, in April.

And he's 18 so doesn't need his mum with him to go to dezzers party in NK \:D/

And given the fact that the overpaid little pr*ck has been robbing the fans for the last umpteen years with substandard displays and still claiming his money each week, I have no doubt that he will donate every last penny to worthy local charities

And rightly so ...... testimonials should be for exceptional cases only, where a players livelihood and future has been affected by a serious injury etc, not for every Tom Dick and Wayne who has played a few games and been paid a absolute fortune for doing so. Twenty years at one club earning not much more than joe public and having to find work outside the game when it ended may have justified a "thank you" and cash donation from a testimonial, not these overpaid playboys who couldn't give a **** for the fans and move on at the slightest whisper of a few hundred thousand signing on fee, or hold the club and fans to ransom before signing a new improved contract

NSPCC, Alder Hey Children's Hospital, Claire House Children's Hospice and Manchester United's own foundation. The real winners of last night's goalless draw at Old Trafford. Well pointed ot Bob! Amongst all the negativity!!

Has Mat80 been moonlighting again

‘JOSE SHOULD BE JAILED’

Jose Mourinho should be sent to prison over his treatment of Bastian Schweinsteiger, according to a member of world players' union FifPro.

The World Cup winner appears to have been cut out of the Manchester United first-team picture since Mourinho's arrival, with reports that he has been training with the reserves.

Dejan Stefanovic (AKA Mat 80), a lawyer and FifPro member from Slovenia and more recently Udon Thani, told BBC World Service Sport: "It's clear bullying. In Slovenia, and also in Udon, we would have indicted Mourinho and asked for the highest penalty - three years in prison.

"This is clearly meant to discourage Bastian. Mourinho is setting a bad example. I would take it to the ordinary court.”

West Brom have announced that chairman Jeremy Peace has agreed to sell the club to a Chinese investment group.

The group is headed by Guochuan Lai, who is the controlling shareholder in Yunyi Guokai (Shanghai) Sports Development Limited.

Lai has told the club website: "I am excited and privileged to have the chance to become the new owner of this great club. My immediate priorities will be to maintain the club’s stable structure, respecting its well-run nature and its heritage. I have no intention of changing the club’s ethos."

Hope they don't upset Tony P ...... 'e gets itchy feet about this time of year :-"
