No worries Statts. You can't type a tone of voice & I was saying it with tongue firmly in cheek ;) Being a Leeds fan for 45 years+ means I would even expect Gary Monk to be spotted at Guiseley Girl Guides Reserves home matches on a Sunday morning :-"

How dare you leave Leeds legend Jimmy Savile off that list! We folk in W Yorks are proud of the heritage created by the likes of JS, Yorkshire Ripper, Black Panther etc etc :D :D

I put the Pan Motor 50 baht on Newcastle to go up yesterday - in my very humble opinion, as big a cert as for Hull to get relegated from the Prem

After all the late Sat/late Sun/Mon night matches Newcastle played last season you would think that someone up there would have let us play at 3pm on a Saturday

Not sure who sorted this table order for Live Footballs website, but if it ends like this there will be a few parties in the streets of Brum \:D/
Really do not want to be in the play offs with that lot either =;

Some sad news today on the Udon Thani General Forum regarding socksy (Ian Davidson) who has passed away.
He was a regular on the World Sports forum, particularily on the football, where he was a keen follower of Glasgow Rangers and Newcastle United.
His sense of humour and contributions will be greatly missed.
RIP.
Just when I thought our chance had passed, you go and save the best for last.

Championship title favourites Newcastle United were beaten 1-0 by Fulham in the opening match of the 2016-17 season.
Matt Smith headed in Tom Cairney's corner just before half-time to condemn the Magpies, relegated from the Premier League last season, to defeat.
The visitors had strong claims for a penalty before Smith's goal but Ryan Tunnicliffe's handball went unpunished.
Fulham goalkeeper David Button saved twice from Matt Ritchie, one of five Newcastle debutants at Craven Cottage.

Today is the start of the English Football Leagues,Scottish Leagues,Conference Leagues and the Emirates FA Cup "extra qualifying round" :-s
Here are a selection of games, including our featured teams......

Rangers v Hamilton SPL
Scunthorpe v Bristol Rovers League 1
Cheltenham v Leyton Orient League 2
Macclesfield v Torquay Conference

QPR v Leeds United Championship, playing Sunday.

I've been having problems with my internet connection this week.I keep getting "no signal" message but I have discovered if I try to log in before 6.30am I'm OK,but after 8am its a no,no !
Anyway,a nice man from TrueVisions is calling round this morning, hopefully to fix the problem.I hope I get better service than when I went to Central to sign up for the EPL footie package from True ! :|

Alan of course i will sell you some of what i have been taking ...no problem just meet me at the Tap and bring yer wallet , preferably with money in it .

BTW ..it is not impossible that Emerton v Scunny could be a fixture the season after this one ... i fancy the Toffees to struggle and the IRON to do very nicely .

Whilst on this thread i would like to wish ALL 3 of "Udons" lesser spotted Leeds fans good luck for the coming season yer gonna need it ......marching on together Ho Ho Ho ...hopefully this season they with get more points than managers

A Scunny fan, a Newcastle fan & Leeds fan travelling by plane....

The Newcastle fan puts his hand out of the window & says:"we're flying over the Toon, I can touch the Milburn Stand!"
The Leeds fan puts his hand out of the window & says "we're over Elland Road, I can touch Billy's statue!"
The Scunny fan puts his hand out of the window & says: "We're flying over Scunthorpe, hey, where's my watch gone!"

Must be a long time since youve been to Scunny ... lots of investment on infrastructure has brought the whole area into the 19th century with the towns main promenade likened to that of St Tropez , palm trees , Yot filled marina , beach front cafes , the finest local Indian cuisine and slag heap skiing with a fat ginger minger make for never a dull moment , lifes so laid back there no buggar wears a watch , in fact lonely planet said .....one of the worlds must visit destinations .

As for Leeds .... last time i went it wor closed due to lack of interest , even the seagulls had goggles on to stop the soot goin in their eyes and Helland rd was hosting a car boot sale ...biggest crowd its seen for years ..
