indeed, just at the time when I was taking (& passing) my English Language 'o' level. In fact I claimed 3 English qualifications in that sitting (English Language, Literature & the quirky named Selective English papers) at 'o' level.
My only regret is that Spell Checkers were not available at the time as it would have undoubtedly improved my grades...

According to (other ) sources about 1,000 neologisms are added to the English language every year. It is something to embrace Statts..

(p.s. On another note I have not entered the forecast of finishers contest. Not because I don't like the idea but because my predictive skills are even worse than my use of irritating phrases)..

With the home supporters demonstrating against (yet another) unloved owner I imagine that it all could have quickly turned pretty sour if the side on the pitch hadn't put on a bit of a show.

Agree Bob. The club have received hundreds of millions from the TV rights but no one knows where this money has gone. It's certainly not been spent on the club. Despite this the supporters give 100 per cent support to the players. Compared to Stamford Bridge I'm embarrassed to say I can understand why it's called ' the library' .

Perhaps if the "English language" was actually allowed to remain as the ENGLISH LANGUAGE, people born and bred in England might have half a chance to understand it. It would appear that the incorrect spelling and grammatically incorrect phrases introduced from foreign shores are corrupting even the sacred football (sorry should that be SOCCER) threads :-" ...... just my 1797 cartwheels worth

Whose bl**dy fault is it that he hasn't got them back, and worked their overpaid butts off to get them fit and ready for action
It's not like they brought the season opener forward 3 weeks without telling the clubs is it, they have had weeks to get ready. When I changed jobs you got 1 day a month leave for the first year ..... do the same with footballers.
If they want or ask for a transfer they get a day for each month off with any day not playing/training or travelling counted as a day off. About time a few sets of points were altered in front of the gravy train.
If I were a toffee fan I would ask RK for a 30% refund on my ticket ..... bet the club would have got upset if the fans stopped travelling to goddisen when they reached the 70% distance on their journey coz THEY weren't 100% ready for the new season :-"

If they played every minute of every game in France that would be a whole 630 minutes work in a month or about a quarter of what everyone else does EVERY WEEK Then having worked their socks of in the mines/factories/hospitals/offices Joe Public pays his hard earned cash and gets told the players were too tired to play

The first 40 minutes weren't so great but most of the second half was quite good.Ibrahimovic an excellent goal and what a free kick but a brilliant save by Boruc. Zlatan and Eric look really good signings and wit young Dave in goal the future looks a lot brighter..... too many iffy players to win the title though, in my opinion. But what about the thriller at The Emirates.......Arsenal 3 Liverpool 4.....reaction from 747man later !

For those doing the predictions, having watched Palace v WBA, I'd recommend you have Palace as likely relegation fodder. Pardew said it was a disappointing day. Palace fans probably had stronger language. Typical West Brom performance under Pulis, although they're unlikely to win any excitement awards.
