I spoke to Mali in the bar last night, he's feeling a bit better, some of the guys are baking him cakes and buying him sandwiches so he's eating well.
The forest was shrinking daily but the trees kept voting for the axe as its handle was made of wood and they thought it was one of them.

Here i am sitting at 03:15 in the morning, it's only because when your sitting in hospital all day there is nothing else more to do than sleep then when the time comes when you should be sleeping you can't.
I am putting finger to phone to thank everybody who has sent me best wishes and get well soons. I am totally overwhelmed at the amount of messages that I have recieved and there isn't enough words for me to say thankyou.
Being in the Tbar I have met a lot of very good people that i regard as friends rather than customers. I have also lost good friends namely Wilf,, Scottish Ian Davies,Steve Squires, Les who had the PP bar, John Ogden and my old mate Michael Davey all who will be sadly missed.
Mali and myself have been here for eighteen years and in that time we have also met many many good people who are now also our friends so what i am trying to say but in a round about way is thankyou all for your support in my sick days and my healthy days. And also a big big thankyou to Mali who is having to visit me and do everything that is involved in running the restaurant.
Many thanks to all
Steve

Great to read your heartfelt post Mr. Steve. It can only mean you are feeling a tad stronger than when we last spoke. This in itself bodes well for the coming days. Looking forward to seeing you up and about, we can hobble around the T-Bar together that'll put a smile on ALL YOUR clientele and friends. 18 years eh? you're just a young pup but of a pedigree breed. God Bless and loadsa love to you both from Chubs, Pai, and Family.

Steve - I know it's your OP tomorrow. Am has 'talked Buddha' to wish you well. For my self, I have said a wee prayer to the big guy upstairs for two people - by an uncanny coincidence, both you and my kid sister are getting an OP tomorrow, I pray that all goes well for you both.

Best Wishes
Scottie, Am and wee Nicky
