Poor result for Middlesbrough in what was an allover poor game, not improved any by a poor refereeing performance by Roger East. It looks like the home side will have a relegation battle on their hands unless something different happens fairly swiftly..

Poor defending by the visitors gave the Saints the points. They have to think that all their home games won't be as easy as this though!! :D

Monday 17th October 2016

Liverpool 0-0 Man Utd
Given their form so far this season i would think that Jose would be well happier than Jurgen with both the game & the result.
Paul Scholes had tipped Pool to win as he thought United were yet to find their 'identity' under Mourinho. Well they found it last night, although the way it looked might not delight many of the class of '92. This was a typical Jose side performance of defensive organisation and discipline. If they play like this then they will certainly not lose many games, but I am not sure what the football purists at Old Trafford will think of it all. Still, even Sir A built his teams from the back, so maybe watch this space.. :D

Bournemouth 0 The Spuds 0

Goalless but a very entertaining game and Bournemouth deserved there point. On this showing they will certainly have no relegation worries but the big talking point was why Sissoko wasnt sent off for a clear elbow in the face of Arter ! [-X
Hopefully,a review panel will give him the ban he deserves. He had only been on as a sub for the Spuds for about 5 minutes and there was absolutely no need for him to behave like he did ! [-(

Coming up amongst the 9pm kick offs......some vital games for these struggling clubs.....

Hull v Stoke
West Ham v Sunderland
Burnley v Everton

Watch out for Crystal Palace on BeIn 7,Brian ! ;)

Still Can't believe we lost at Burnley, after having 70% Possession.....Just can't put our chances away,Lately....Burnleys winner came in the 91st Minute scored by a man that SHOULD Have been Red Carded After commiting 3 Fouls after recieving A Yellow......

4 points from three tricky away matches not so bad but need a left back and defensive midfielder so Henderson can use his athleticism further forward.

The late match ended Liverpool 2 West Brom 1 which moves Liverpool up to second in the table.
A comfortable win for Liverpool with two first half goals but a late goal for West Brom denied them top spot on goal difference.

Middlesborough were worthy of a point at The Emirates and were the better team in the first half.
Flicking through the other channels,a great goal by Shaqiri for Stoke......unless anything dramatic happens,Sunderland and Hull look nailed on certainties for relegation but who will join them ?

Tonights games.....Man City v Southampton (7.30pm Thai) and Chelsea v Manchester United (10pm Thai).
Just when I thought our chance had passed, you go and save the best for last.

About the only good thing about this weeks results was the 'pool match which I got right, and even that was tainted by McAuley & Cortina both scoring as my FF H2H opponent had both with Cortina having the armband

At least I'm well infront of Lawro (650) on the BBC predictor game ....... into top 0.1% after yesterday.
