Re: looking for avacado growers
We found one year old avocado trees, grafted and ready to plant, at 300฿ a piece in the nursery nearby the Lotus store. It's best to plant them in the rainy season.

How long will it take for these grafted plants to bear fruit?
I hope I die in my sleep like my grand dad did, not screaming like his passengers

Re: looking for avacado growers
If purchasing a tree, you can probably expect to see your first fruit 3-4 years after planting the tree. If growing from seed, it can take anywhere from 5 to 13 years before the tree is mature enough to set fruit. When the tree does flower, expect a lot of flowers to fall from the tree without setting fruit.

We have been growing avocados in Udon for 7 years...There are two places that we have found to get grafted avocados...The best place is a nursery in Pak Chong...the other place is a nursery in Nong Khai that sometimes have 3 or 4 plants of the Booth 7 variety...

Stoneman, What is the location of the NK nursery?

Take the highway into NK...At the light after the Tesco....turn left on the road going to the bridge and train station....It is on the right hand side about 1 km....but before the railroad tracks...There are several nurseries there together....

Hey, Thanks for the information STONEMAN.
Do you know if the NK location has these trees in stock on a daily basis ? would be bummed to drive up there
and have to come home empty handed....any chance they have a phone # we could call to confirm ??
Also, which variety would you recommend for this area ??

Their phone numbers are 081-063 8511, 093-540 8117 and 081-660 4403
And they normally only have 4 or 5 trees...
