When browsing the news I find it interesting that in both the USA elections and the UK referendum so many reporters continually refer to the 'shock' result, or the 'surprise' results. To whom were they a shock or a surprise? Only to those same reporters/media hacks/political class who are so out of touch with the electorate that they haven't a clue how people feel. Now let's see what elections bring forth in a few other countries. We live in interesting times. :D

All the LIB pundits and the LIB economists predicted a horrible economic response from the US markets. Exactly the opposite has happened. Record highs in the DJIA and S&P 500. :-"

Donald trump is new usa president

just a predication.

fairly confident the Republicans in the House and Senate would prefer Pence taking over the Presidency, or atleast enough of them to get it done.

Next time one of you yankee boys goes home could you have quick word with Donald and remind him that my Crudgington family have been battling to keep the pesky Mex's out of America for over 100 years now :-"

Off topic for a quick moment, but perhaps one of you guys can help me with a problem.

Doing research into the family's American branch at the moment, and I'm having difficulty with the addresses quoted on records. Many (esp in newspapers) say 1710 Tyler, or 1669 Buchannan, but that is ALL they say. What is the DEFAULT in America? is it Street, Road. Avenue, Blvd or what when they don't put anything?

There is no default. Just put it without road, street, etc. The Post Office knows

That is assuming you are given the zip code.

on the docs I'm looking at late 19c early half 20c the addresses are just 1669 Buchannan, 1710 Tyler or 870 N Albany etc etc No town, no county or anything  (at least I know most are Cincinnati Ohio/Knox Tennessee or Stephens Co Texas)

If you can figure out state and town you can look up zip on Google. Otherwise it is like saying send it to somewhere in the USA

Will Trump make the Grade.

So the yanks have a new President lets have a closer look who you voted in. His grandfather was an immigrant from Germany who arrived in the late 1800's on arrival he was into gambling and prostitution and started his Empire from these.
Donald Trumps own Brother died an Alcoholic so the question is have you voted in a Man who can be trusted.
