Liverpool fans are fifth most banned according to government figures
40 Reds fans were arrested last season
Liverpool remain among the football clubs with the highest number of supporter banning orders in place - but relatively few fans were banned within the last season.
Reds fans are the subject of 49 football banning orders, according to Home Office figures released today.
That’s the fifth highest total of any club in the top five divisions of English football.
Newcastle have by far and away the most with 124, followed by Chelsea with 60, Millwall with 57 and Wolverhampton Wanderers with 52.
However, only six of Liverpool’s 49 banning orders were issued last season.
Plymouth Argyle and Wolverhampton Wanderers fans received the most last season with 21 each.
Millwall fans received 16 new banning orders while Nottingham Forest and Peterborough fans received 15 each.
Liverpool fans were the subject of 40 of those arrests, the joint 15th highest total in the country. Last season 39 Everton fans were arrested but the club remains nowhere on the banning order league table.
Birmingham City fans topped the list though with 74 followed by Millwall with 69.
Liverpool fans were arrested 12 times for public disorder offences last season, making it the club’s most common offence type.
There were also 10 arrests for alcohol offences, nine for the possession of pyrotechnics, five for violent disorder, two for pitch incursions, one for criminal damage and one for throwing missiles.

Not surprising when you have a cockney chairman who doesn't understand that being a "Bar Steward" is a position to be envied in Geordieland

Re: English Premier League 2016/17
Tonights games (Thai times)
7.30pm : Burnley v Manchester City
10.00pm : Hull v West Brom,Leicester v Middlesborough,Liverpool v Sunderland,Swansea v Crystal Palace
12.30am (Sunday) : Chelsea v Tottenham
Pick of the matches is the late kick off where I expect Chelsea to win comfortably as the Spuds are struggling a bit without Alderweireld in defence.
If its goals you want to see then Liverpool v Sunderland is the match to pick as Liverpool are on fire at home,at the moment.
Fascinating match at the bottom of the table between Swansea, without a win since the first day of the season and Palace who are on the crest of a slump.
Elsewhere I expect victories for Citeh and West Brom with Leicester and Boro sharing the spoils.
Enjoy your evenings viewing.

Citi go top, for now....both Pool & Chelsea can replace them later.Full-time Burnley 1-2 Man City
They started sluggishly & fell behind but were level by the break. They have Agüero (scored both) & Burnley do not. It was yet another combative performance from Burnley but they fell short largely because Citi have multi-million pound backers & they do not..
But life is rarely fair..

In the late kick off Chelsea came from behind to beat the Spuds 2-1 to stay top of the Premiership.
The difference between Burnley and Citeh was Kun Aguero but Burnley look to have enough about them to stay up.
It looked like it was going to be one of those days for Liverpool.Sluggish in the first half then seeing numerous chances go begging in the second half before Origis clinical strike in the 75th minute.
An amazing game at the Liberty Stadium. The scoring went 0-1,1-1,2-1,3-1,3-2,3-3,3-4,4-4,5-4.Palace were winning 4-3 going into injury time but ended up with 0 points instead of 3.This was Swanseas first win since the opening day of the season.A result like this can only increase the pressure on Alan Pardew and Brian Davis ! :-"
Four matches tonight with a couple at decent times.
Watford v Stoke,7pm Thai.
Arsenal v Bournemouth,9.15pm Thai.
Manchester United v West Ham,Southampton v Everton,both 11.30pm Thai.
The second late match sees the return of Ronald Koeman to St.Marys.

Does the Guinness Book of Records have a section for the most inept defensive performances, but this game could be top of the list. I can recall two good goals out of the nine - the rest, I think the coaches will be pulling their hair out. Taking Palace, they were said to have concentrated on defensive work in the past week and nullifying Sigurdsson. If that was the result, I suggest they go play golf next time in preparation. With all the pre-match chat etc., this was truly awful.Zidane wrote:An amazing game at the Liberty Stadium. :-"

Strange game given their relative league form so far this season. OK Stoke have improved after a very poor start but Watford have looked an organised team.Watford 0-1 Stoke City
Stoke completely nullified Watford. The home side looked bewildered as to what to do with the ball when they had it. Stoke just looked a better side, with better players & better organisation.
Not at all what I was expecting...
