Hey Charlie 8)
Dunno whether to call you "Bob the Builder" or "Delboy"...either way you've got your fingers in many pies.....From selling Durecell batteries from China to building houses in Thailand (not to mention helping out the paperwork with arranged marriages!)...well good luck to you 8) So go on tell me.....How can you be in your 40's with 25yrs experience in the wholesale/retail trade and 25yrs in the building trade....can't see that you can run these businesses side by side unless you're an Insomniac!!!

This is My problem Here i want the same Quality i get Back Home.
i have Given a good Few free lessons in the last 21 weeks free to Thai Builders.
And you pay a whopping 200 or 300 baht per day, and you want the same quality you get 'back home'

I don't know who you are trying to impress with your boasting and bragging and it seems like Thailands builders will be much improved after receiving your "few free lessons". How did they ever cope before you came along?

I for one am not impressed with your speeches and apparent 'Thailand needs me' attitude.

I can hear stories like yours every night in any given bar in Udon and yet still, I am not impressed !

Save it for the ladies, who might swoon with admiration after hearing how indispensible you are !

Mr Ntvillas,
I have been working 17 years around UK, so far I have never ever seen a "quality house" all you guys have on that island are "robust sheds".

Construction wise there is no need for for the "same quality as home" as the climate is not the same.
Interior wise there are some very skilled craftsmen here in LOS.

I have to say with that statement, your resume or CV should show Redneck (Bigot). Sure hope nothing but White People show up.

Or at NTVillas house where we could all sing the praises on what a fantastic "hand Made style/quality house he has , full of art decor and pillars - just like the Old School Way (but had to go all the way to Thailand to be able to afford the 200 baht a day to pay the workers - and I bet not one of them is a "white person")

If I was his mate (not much chance) and he told everyone I live in a "shed" - I wouldn't be his mate for long.

Still - what goes around comes around - and for sure, its gonna come :)

It beats the hell out of me why people come here - abuse the locals, stay in a house resembling the one they used to have in their home country, complain about everything the locals can or cannot do - and want to stay here.

Takes all kinds I guess !

ntvilla,
can you confirm this?
I heard that you are going to invite the forum members of Udonmap to your House welcoming party.
They told me 8.00 in the morning for the Thai people and the Monks,
and 16.00 barbeque for the forum members.
Can you tell me again exactly what day so that I can be sure to be there.
This will be the greatest publicity stunt ever.
All your potential clients will be able to check the quality and skill of your work.
already in advance congratulations with the new house.

What did you build, a dollhouse? 3.000.000 Baht wont last very long if one is building a high quality house. Marble and high quality wood is not cheap and adding a proper English garden... For 3 million Baht you would get the a home the size of a doll house.... I bet you got your plot of land in that prize...

And by the way, as you claim that "all your friends live in sheds" I strongly doubt you have friends anymore.

Even if you try to be nice from time to time, you always mange to piss on every single Thai or your friends....

I wouldn't turn my nose up at a 3000000bht house in Udon.....as you can get a 2 bed for 560000 here, a 3mill house I would lose myself in
