For the third game in succession Chelsea managed to grind out a win and go 9 points clear.A lovely headed goal by Costa just before half time to win it but a bit harsh on Palace who had matched Chelsea until then.
Chelsea improved in the second half,when Fabregas came on and looked likely to increase their lead.
Costa and Kante suspended for the next game.....bad news for Chelsea and my FF team !

For the 10pm kick off I plumped for West Ham v Hull,for some reason . The standard was mid table Championship but the goalmouth action was incredible.It should have ended up West Ham 3 Hull 6 ! Hull hit the woodwork 3 times and had a dodgy penalty given against them for West Ham to win it.Once again its true,when you are at the bottom,you have no luck.West Ham up to 13th but looked pretty poor again for most of this match.

Dare I say it but Manchester United are coming into a bit of form and continue to improve.Probably playing there best since Sir Alex retired.A good win at West Brom,who have been in good form themselves.Two goals from 35 year old Ibrahimovic,the first after a lovely cross from Lingard.

Tonight its the south coast derby between Bournemouth and Southampton at 8.30pm Thai,then there is a choice between Citeh v Arsenal and The Spuds v Burnley at 11pm Thai.

A pleasant evenings viewing to my many readers,both at home and overseas..........

i UNDERSTAND Ibrahimovic May miss the next game and, eventually Rojo got a Yellow for another needless challenge. decent games later today with the South Coast Derby being my watch of the day before The flat cap Classico early doors Tuesday Morning. Plenty of previous Merseyside Derbies being reviewed by Sky Sports News HQ to keep me entertained until kick-off. Merry Chrimbo to all my followers see you next year depending on the result

How many times in recent seasons have Arsenal come up short when the pressure is on ? This season looks like being no different and they are now only 1 point ahead of The Spuds and 4 points ahead of Manchester United,having played the same number of games.

Yes Zid, The Gunners are the same as they have been for the last 10 years under Arsene.
Nice footballing side to watch, if a little overplaying the ball at times, but can be out muscled far too easily in midfield. Patrick Vieira & Emmanuel Petit where are you now???

nothing to do with English football , but i was watching the Susuki cup final on sat night and a player got sent off
" red card " with only 30 secs of extra time left to play ... does he still get a runners up medal ???
i dont know much about football but know some of you guys do ....

I think it would depend on the particular competition,timmy.
Certainly I can think of a couple of guys sent off in the English FA Cup Final who received medals after the event but not on the day.
Also Zinedine Zidane was sent off in the 2006 World Cup Final but still got a losers medal at a later date.
I think this guy should still get a medal.....just 30 seconds from the end of extra time.....it would be a bit draconian if he didn't

Sadio Mane's goal deep into injury time sank Everton and settled a scrappy Merseyside derby in Liverpool's favour at Goodison Park.
The Reds' £34m summer signing from Southampton reacted first to a loose ball after substitute Daniel Sturridge's shot had hit the post in the fourth of eight minutes of stoppage time.
Everton, who had lost goalkeeper Maarten Stekelenburg to injury in the second half, have now won just one of their past 20 meetings with their local rivals.
Liverpool - who moved up to second - created the better chances, with Stekelenburg and his replacement Joel Robles saving well from Roberto Firmino.
There was a flashpoint in the second half when a dreadful tackle by Ross Barkley on Jordan Henderson sparked angry scenes and the Everton midfielder was fortunate to escape with only a yellow card from referee Mike Dean.

Lovren Should have seen RED Too Andy,On A Yellow he TRIED To get involved in the Argy Bargy following Barkleys Tackle.....But Soon Backed Off when faced by BIG Rom !! He Literally S*it Himself !! I am spending Christmas in Northern Thailand for a change - so here is an early view of what is on offer...

OK I'll bite, not much else on, now the cricket's well and truly finished! Not sure when last WizzWanger67 ( that is a 'g' in there and not a 'k'?) was at goodison Park, in my youth I was a Paddock lad, in later years up in "The "Top Balcony" accessed via the escalator, not too much creosote applied there!Used to park near Anfield and stroll through Stanley Park. The only surprise being was that the car was still there (and in one piece) when we returned! Goodison Park still the only Premiership ground to be selected as a venue for a World Cup Semi Final if you don't include Spurs' rented accomodation at the end of Wembley Way. Have to admit not much has changed at Goodison since 1966! I was last there attending a Golden Wedding Anniversary reception in 2014 in "The Joe Mercer Suite" Joe used to be our Grocer on The Wirral.

I can recall that only too well. My friend drove up in a Triumph Herald and parked in a nearby side street and a little kid was out to 'greet' us immediately. We thought it best to 'cough up', because it was a long journey home with no windows! (The latter, smashed windows, was to occur on a later occasion to a supporters' bus, changed to a city bus for a bumpy ride home.)

I regret, even to this day, not coming to the aid of a young Palace fan set upon by an Everton lump, intent on stealing his scarf. He obviously made a habit of this as he had a collection of other team
scarves tied to his belt. But it was a time of football violence, a bashing never far away,
and with our car and lifeline parked round the corner, perhaps a sensible if regrettable decision to remain incognito.
