Link? Couldn't find it on the NY Times website.
Did find this:
There was a bit of a mix-up with the transition to power on the web. Mr. Trump’s initial cover photo on the official @POTUS handle used an image from Mr. Obama’s 2009 inauguration. It was quickly taken down. https://www.nytimes.com/2017/01/20/us/p ... ation.html

True, but you need to start with facts. If you don't like Politifact.com, there are other fact checking websites:
SNOPES.COM
FACTCHECK.ORG
TRUTHORFICTION.COM
and others:
The 2016 guide to political fact-checking on the internet
http://www.dailydot.com/layer8/best-fac ... -websites/
PolitiFact.com, which was awarded a Pulitzer Prize, examines statements by politicians and pundits and rates what they say on its Truth-O-Meter. The website also tracks promises by Obama and Republican leaders.
It is true that some of its reporters work for the Tampa Bay Times, a fact not lost on a website called PolitiFactbias.com, which exposes what it calls liberal bias by PolitiFact.com.
But PolitiFact.com uses strict journalistic standards, according to its mandate. Its reporters and researchers use original reports rather than news stories. When possible, PolitiFact.com uses original sources to verify the claims and interviews impartial experts.
These fact-finders all help to arrive at the truth. But we believe that confirming accuracy through multiple sources and original reporting is the best guarantee.
And as Emery says:
“In the thorny search for truth, there's no substitute for doing one's own research and applying one's own considered judgment before thinking oneself informed.”

   Yes. Not enough coffee yet.

But why not give him a Pulitzer, too. :)
Well we all make mistakes. I know the Pulitzer Prize is awarded for journalism, books, drama and music, so using my reasoning skills and critical thinking I had already conclude that this was false.

Luckily I didn't need to run it through a fact-checker website and risk getting a bias or slanted view.

The rule of law has to be unbiased, and it is not. Trump has not mentioned anything about fixing these problems. It's more like listen or else. Er....recipe for civil war.

58% of eligible voters voted, that means 90 million eligible voters did not vote, a weak turnout compared to the rest of the free world???

Of all the things one could criticize Trump for, that's the best you could come up with? :-k

Here's Obama's 2009 inauguration (left) compared to Trumps "big league" 2017 inauguration (right).

Add to that the voters who voted for the "opposition" as a protest against either Dem/Rep candidate on offer, and that doesn't leave too many that actually voted for them because they really wanted them in the White House. .....

Wonder if Bill voted for Hilary or Ivanka :-$

"Begin removing the more than 2 million criminal illegal immigrants from the country and cancel visas to foreign countries that won’t take them back".
Hope the Thais are taking back any Thai nationals deported from the U.S. If they don't it looks like Trump is going to enforce laws already on the books that allow the President to stop issuance of all American visas in the offending country.. Of course, there is latitude where the President can just refuse visas to members of the government.... If that were to happen I'll bet there would be a very rapid payback from the Thai government...

This is an excellent though very ambitious plan.

I've heard nothing of it; but hope he eliminates all laws and interference regarding U.S. citizens living in Thailand and other nations.

The media is knocking the crowd size at the inauguration and I find this silly. The Washington DC beltway area is a liberal swap and votes that way big time all the people that live there are Dems. Trump was elected by Americans far away from DC with Jobs and families joined together with marriages and children that have schoolwork, laundry to do garages to clean and weekend sports and so on. I have never even considered attending a inauguration and I can't think of anyone who has. Who the hell would travel a large distance to go watch that. The only crowd that mattered was on election day and Trump won!

I think many of them don't have a job, but most are certainly far away. DC, Maryland and N. Virginia are predominantly democrats without doubt. I also wonder about the time of day of that photo.

Maybe some of the mental midgets on here can understand this. ;)

Yes, and let's face it. Conservatives have jobs to go to on Fridays. :) And like you point out, the best seat in the house is in your living room watching it on television.

Here's some updated pics that were taken during the inauguration speech. The fake news pics of the comparison was the same time on the Washington Monument cameras, but they weren't taken at the same time that the inaugural address took place.

http://truthfeed.com/this-should-settle ... ike/48101/
So which is it? His supporters have jobs so the attendance was low, or the media made the whole thing up and attendance was high? Does it really matter? As Tigerryan points out, the argument is silly.

Whats conserning to me is Trumps reaction, and how his ongoing war with the media is going to effect his job performance. Dosn't he have more serious issues to worry about now? Why is he so defensive about it? He won the election, get on with doing the job instead of reacting to every preceived left-wing media slight.

He loss the popular vote big time, his approval rating is low, why would he expect a record breaking turn-out at his inauguration?
Trump and his chief spokesman lambasted the media for the reporting of the inauguration turnout, in what analysts said was an attempt to change the subject.
Non-stop news network coverage of Saturday's sprawling demonstrations against Trump were replaced within hours by debate over his "war on the media," which is likely to play well among his supporters.
Visiting the Central Intelligence Agency headquarters in Virginia, Trump insisted, despite evidence to the contrary, that he drew 1.5 million people to his Friday swearing-in ceremony.
"I made a speech. I looked out, the field was, it looked like a million, million and a half people," he told CIA staff.
"They showed a field where there were practically nobody standing there. And they said, Donald Trump did not draw well," he added.
...
White House press secretary Sean Spicer doubled down on the media assault, using his first press conference in the White House briefing room to blast the journalists seated before him for "deliberately false reporting" on crowd size.
"This was the largest audience to ever witness an inauguration, period!" Spicer said, falsely. "These attempts to lessen the enthusiasm of the inauguration are shameful and wrong."
Spicer left the briefing without taking questions.

On media bias-
Truthfeed:
These media sources are highly biased toward conservative causes. They utilize strong loaded words (wording that attempts to influence an audience by using appeal to emotion or stereotypes), publish misleading reports and omit reporting of information that may damage conservative causes. Sources in this category may be untrustworthy. See all Right Bias sources.
Factual Reporting: LOW
Notes: First, it does not have an About page. Second, it is very far right biased that promotes conspiracies. It publishes racist content.
https://mediabiasfactcheck.com/truthfeed/

Public Radio International (PRI):
These media sources have a slight to moderate liberal bias. They often publish factual information that utilizes loaded words (wording that attempts to influence an audience by using appeal to emotion or stereotypes) to favor liberal causes. These sources are generally trustworthy for information, but may require further investigation. See all Left-Center sources.
Factual Reporting: High
Notes: Public Radio International (PRI) is a Minneapolis-based American public radio organization, with locations in Boston, New York, London and Beijing. PRI is a media content creator and also distributes programs from many sources, competing with National Public Radio, American Public Media and the Public Radio Exchange to provide programming to public radio stations (Wikipedia).

First, there's no way that Trump's crowd beat Obama's. The question was whether or not the compared photos reflected the truth of who was present during the inauguration once everyone was there. The photo comparison is bunk.

The pic is just another attempt by the media and people like you to minimize the accomplishment achieved by Trump. He's not going to run. He'll never get out of the primaries. He won't file his paperwork. He won't beat Hillary. The election is over. He won't win Florida. He won't win Pennsylvania. He won't win Michigan. The Russians hacked the election. He didn't win the popular vote. Blah blah blah. He wasn't my candidate, but he beat all odds -- over 15 other Republican candidates, the Bush Machine, the Clinton Machine, the Obama Machine, Hollywood, academia, the GOP Establishment, Dem Marxists, and a lying media that flooded papers with negative stories more often than not. Like I said, he wasn't my candidate, but he cleared every hurdle and speed bump thrown in his path.

Second, Trump tweets because the media does not report factually. I hope it continues, and I hope he continues to push back. Trump is going to handle his business and also continue to tweet. Get used to it. I look forward to it. :) It's a shame that the media didn't spend more time going after Obama the way they have gone after Trump.

The media gave Obama a pass for 8 years, even when he and his administration said false things about Benghazi, lied about the extent of the IRS targeting of conservatives, lied about cash transfers to Iran, bragged about fooling everyone on the Iran Nuclear Deal, and then Obama saying himself repeatedly ‘If you like your healthcare plan you can keep it’ too many times to mention while millions of people lost their healthcare plans. The media never pushed back against those lies. Now they're upset that Trump bypasses them on Twitter.

Third, the popular vote has never decided the presidency. Not ever. That's like saying that the team with the most total offense in the Super Bowl wins the game, not scoring more points than the other team.

Face it, Jello. Your gal didn't get in. Even though Obama wasn't on the ballot, he said himself that his policies were on the ballot. Rejected. Over 300 Electoral votes is nothing to discount and winning 31 of 50 states is no small accomplishment. (Yeah, Hillary should be president. She won 19 states. LOL) I'm glad that I am not a citizen of the United States of California and New York and that we choose our president through the Electoral College.
