In my posts all fees and requirements are the standard R&R but TIT and a brown envelope can make incredible changes YMMV.

If you 'mouse click' on the pictures they are enlarged & can be enlarged again from there.

I believe that it is the first photo that STWW posted that you need to view as the second one deals with renewals also..

If you are asking me then I can't help you as I have not gone to the site suggested.
My comments were in relation to the pictures that STWW posted above.

I don't believe that using Firefox as a browser would give you a completely different view of a website than using another browser though.
I do know that Thai Immigration based their online 90 day reporting on Internet Explorer & other browsers had issues using it, but I think it is an 'all or nothing' scenario rather than something different!!

You do, the colour has been changed because of the recent death.

You probably didn't get any forms because I didn't post any forms. I posted a picture, listing what you need, captured from the DLT website a while ago.

The DLT office has the form you will need to fill in. AFAIK it has never been available for download.
You will find life easier if you have someone along to translate, I had SWMBO ;)

FWIW there are still a few errors on the website, it hasn't been updated for the 2 year validity of the temporary licence and there is still a valid/invalid mistake.

I have a full UK Photo driving licence, and will be staying in Udon Thani for one year. I didn't have time to get an International Driving Permit.
Do I need to get a Thai licence or is my UK accepted if I get stopped?

You can get a UK IDP from the AA or RAC they will send it to you in Thailand. However you should then get a Thai licence as the foreign IDP or licence is only legal to use for 90 days from entry (even though the IDP will be still in date). While the police may not be bothered, if you have a serious accident the small print in the insurance will state that you must have a Thai licence if you have been in Thailand for more than 90 days, so the insurance company could refuse payment.

The IDP will make getting a Thai licence easy.

Many thanks for that. Will contact RAC.
DO I have to take the Thai driving test ( Imean the multi question one/videos etc) or do they simply exchange it - and at what cost?
