Romelu Lukaku: Everton striker rejects new contract at Goodison Park
By Phil McNulty Chief football writer BBC
Lukaku has made no secret of his desire to play in the Champions League and has been linked with a return to former club Chelsea, from whom he joined Everton for £28m in 2014.
One man's opinion.
Actually Zid, are you becoming as bored as me on this topic? Here we have yet another 'football expert' rehashing this continuing Lukaku saga. Lukaku, thus far, has been linked with a possible move to ALL existing top six EPL teams; not to mention several overseas clubs!!

Although possibly misguided, unless he has some strong links among the now tightly knit squad of Chelsea players, I don't think he will be returning there, to be exposed to the risk of further unhappy experiences. Utd , of course, is not going to happen, since Mourinho has demonstrated many times over his remarkable expertise in identifying, and furthering the careers of young players of outstanding promise, and has been outspoken in his assessment of Lukaku's limited abilities!

I think my view of where Arsenal are at currently, would be shared by most EPL fans. Performance; moral; commitment; self belief, and the full support of the currently very fickle Arsenal fans, require to be substantially raised, and displayed to reignite the Club's fast fading chances of claiming what appears to be the sole remaining Champions League spot. For these reasons, a move to Arsenal would not appear to be in Lukaku's best interest, at this stage in his career. Of City, Liverpool & Spurs, the Manchester club would appear the most attractive, at first sight. But upon taking into account the quality and size of the City squad and most particularly the competition he would be facing, not least from Aquero & Jesus, there would exist the very real prospect of finding himself spending more time on the bench, than the pitch.
So, were I Lukaku, out of the EPL clubs, my choice would be between Liverpool & Spurs both of which clubs are in serious need of a striker of his quality; are in a position to offer plenty of playing time; already have quality squads which have demonstrated an ability to compete for honours and, most importantly, have forward looking owners who, thus far, have demonstrated a willingness to back two young managers of immense promise.
All very logical, on my part; but then I am not Lukaku!
