Blimey, OT didn't know that, and it's grammatically incorrect unless of course his name is "Risen".
I don't understand the "renewal of life", this can only be if you've had an accident or something and your heart stops beating then someone gives CPR or an ambulance man blasts 300 volts via a defibrillator into your chest and your life is renewed, or brought back.
Reincarnation is another thing which IMO can be good or bad depending on what religion you follow and more importantly what you come back as.

Thank you for that testimonial Lone Star. For me the Resurrection symbolizes the hope of Eternal Life. Without the Resurrection of Christ, Christianity would have died with Jesus and history would have labeled Him just another man who was a good teacher and prophet. But, because He lives we too can live in Eternity with Him if we place our faith in the death, burial and resurrection of the Lord Jesus Christ. Romans 8:11 says:
But if the Spirit of Him who raised Jesus from the dead dwells in you, He who raised Christ from the dead will also give life to your mortal bodies through His Spirit who dwells in you.
This my friends is the renewal of life to which Lone Star made reference.

Happily, when I was growing up Easter was all about hunting for Chocolate Easter eggs in the morning, and later devouring chocolate Easter bunnies (start with the ears) and chocolate chickens. This did not change when I started a family of my own. Oh, and we had ham for dinner. So, it was a day well spent.
The Cleveland Indians used to have a power hitter named Al Rosen, but I do not know of any players named Risen. Rosen, by the way, was Jewish with dark hair and brown eyes, just like Jesus.
