I recommend a company based in BKK called Pexgo but a bit of advice make sure you know about import duty etc, it's sometimes very expensive to bring stuff here, I parted with £1,200 duty last November.

Please tell them Vince Munday recommends you.
The forest was shrinking daily but the trees kept voting for the axe as its handle was made of wood and they thought it was one of them.

Much better and cheaper to pay for excess baggage and bring them through your self. We often come in with 80kg.

In my posts all fees and requirements are the standard R&R but TIT and a brown envelope can make incredible changes YMMV.

I Get a Parcel every 3 Months from London ......But my mate makes certain it is BELOW 2kgs & That costs 20.00 Pounds in Postage via the Royal Mail ( Post Office Small Parcels ) Because if it goes say 2.1 kgs It DOUBLES In price, So I Would'nt like to even guess what 20kgs would cost......Horrendous Price I Would think !!!.............Yes as Woodworker says " Better to bring it with you as excess baggage " Phone the Airline & Ask them " How Much "

Suggest you contact this company on line first for details.https://www.excess-baggage.com/
They have offices in most major airports where you can deposit your excess baggage and they try to send it as freight on the flight you are travelling on for you to collect at the other end .Haven't used them personally but several friends have with success . Not sure how the customs duty thing works so best to check that out first.

Good recommendation, Friends of mine used this with no problems but their drop-off facilities are pretty much some London airports, Dublin and a couple in Spain.

https://www.sendmybag.com/ seem to have a collection service from your home so no need to take anything to the airport which is also handy if you are doing domestic transfers first. They even have a Thailand-specific advice page. Note that among the Thailand prohibited items are Prescription drugs and pharmaceutical products. Keep in mind that vitamins are classed and treated as pharmaceutical products in Thailand, hence the grief that so many endure when ordering their Centrum Silver online from home for delivery to LOS!

Have guys working here with me in the UAE and they fly Etihad,
Have asked them and they get a 20% discount for excess baggage booking online on the webpage under the manage my booking tab, also if you have Etihad points you should be able to use those for excess baggage.

If your traveling in Etihad economy there are two classes of ticket. Make sure you get the ticket that allows 2x 23kls. With carry on luggage at 7kls you will have a total of 53kls. Once in Bangkok book I think its called a Premium ticket with Thai Smile where you will be allowed 30kls. You will then be charged for the 16kls at a rate of 50 Baht per kl totaling 800 Baht. This is what I have been doing for years and as everyone has said, ''Much cheaper". If you do decide to use a postage courier be very careful as Thai customs are the worst out. They charge about 85% duty and sometimes more. An example:- I just used some air miles from Etihad and ordered a bag for my wife. The bag was valued at £45.00 and we were charged 1,800 Baht duty. Their supplier used UPS to ship it here who didn't help at all. UPS was absolutely rubbish!!

Buy a set of hand scales before you leave and make sure your on the correct weight. Never had a problem with Etihad regard to weight!! I weigh the bags before I leave my accommodation, go to check in and then on my way.
Most times I travel in economy with 53kl. 2x23kl and 7kl on board. I would not pay for excess baggage.

Lets get back on track. I don't know why people go to airports without checking the weight of their luggage. Starts the trip off to a bad start if you have to dump gear.
