First I would ask AIS, 3BB & True if they have the fibre facility to your house.
Just call in their office & tell them where you live.
I live 17km from Udon & True are the only company with fibre facility in the area.
I believe True are the only ones who give you a free modem.
3BB charge approx 2,000 baht for the modem dont know about Ais.
I have used 3BB for 6 years without having many problems & they have been quick to respond if you have a fault.
Just call 1530 & you will get English speaking assistance.
Some areas seem to have a better service than others.
I suppose it depends how many people are using the Internet in your area on each server.

Re: AIS vs 3BB Fibre Internet?
17 km East of Ban Dung (about 100 km from Udon) in the rice paddies. Had 3BB installed 3 months ago, 600 Baht total inc the WiFi Modem (on promotion, I believe it is normally 2000 Baht). 34Mb bandwidth package is 632 per month. Reliability has been excellent and regular speed tests (www.Speedtest.net) shows we are getting what we paid for.

Re: AIS vs 3BB Fibre Internet?
Both are good but after 2 years left 3BB fiber and went over to AIS because of better 'service'
I was born with nothing and still have most of it left

Re: AIS vs 3BB Fibre Internet?
For 1,200 a month I have BBB with 200mbs down and 50 up , has been very reliable. Fastest in town for the price.
Re: AIS vs 3BB Fibre Internet?
Whichever way you look at it, all internet providers get their Internet from either CAT or TOT, who are of course the main provides of Internet in Thailand .
Re: AIS vs 3BB Fibre Internet?
Even if you live in the boonies, there's a good chance TOT is available. I'm 18k out of town and have TOT fiber. 700 baht per, and they replaced a burned out modem for free.
