Naga head termite house

Near where I live a villager has termites,alas this is nothing out of the ordinary but this villager has informed all who care to listen (appears to be the vast majority) that this termite nest is a spirit of Naga (snake like) to me it does not resemble anything...just dirt.
Many,many people go to this termite nest and pay respect to it (wai,give candles and flowers and of course a donation of the sacred baht)
Apparently if you watch the termites they will give lucky numbers.
People actually believe this and appear to be deadly serious,however no proof of winners or miracles as yet.

Millions flock from all around the world.

we have a lucky toad that lives under a brick in our garden,the wife invites friends around to sprinkle talc on its back,and look for the lottery numbers,weve won millions over the years,you,ve just got to have faith,infact only this morning i fancied a curry so got a naan bread out the freezer only to see image of my late nan

Have heard that people in the west are serious about and still believe in imaginary things. Same mind set as believing in termite mounds. I suppose at least the locals can see a termite to place credibility in.
