Re: Workshop and house, Non Sa-At ½ way between KK & Udon
Prior to my visa run we went to wood street to look at chairs. We found some old growth teak armchairs that should do nicely.
We then needed 4 armless chairs to makeup our eating table set and found a pattern chair (an armchair) that would do OK for that once they are made without arms, we were persuaded to go for old growth teak for those as well.
Next it was on to doors, we started with 2 for the living room.
Then 2 custom sized custom thickness doors, one between the house and workshop, and one for the rear workshop door. These are all made with kiln dried wood so there should not be much movement.
To top this all of while we were competing the paperwork we noticed the comfortable little stools that we were sitting on and ordered a couple of those too.

Re: Workshop and house, Non Sa-At ½ way between KK & Udon
Water again.
Fortunately the educationally challenged person whose grasp of the laws of physics might rival a 5 year old has not visited for several months now so this should now be a non controversial subject.
To recap our intention was to have low level water storage which we do at about 6,000 litres
The tanks fit nicely under my paint shop, this may keep the water a little cooler. The tanks are connected with a 2" pipe and can be isolated from each other. Our village has just upgraded the water supply system to provide a much better, higher pressure, supply. This has ment that for now we do not need the pump from the low level storage until we have a village water cut, all we need are a couple of non return valves at the low level so that when the pump is used it doesn't form a loop or pump back into the village supply.
All the pipe used is PP-R 32mm this has allowed some flexibility in the lengths.
Having connected the high level tank the day before yesterday we had running water in the sink, in the workshop shower/toilet/hand wash room, also in its toilet as well. This afternoon I connected two mixer taps in the shower rooms though there was a bit of a problem. We now have a cool water low-ish pressure shower available.
So the high level tank is performing as predicted, giving sufficient water flow and pressure for everything apart from hot water showers with no pump currently in circuit. The water system will be perfectly usable when we have power cuts (FWIW there was a 7 hour cut yesterday.)

SWMBO has had enough of building, she decided to extend the outdoor kitchen and eating area roof
Roof mostly complete
We are installing the outside power, the workers have some really nice kit
The boss, an EGAT worker, actually uses safety equipment when using wired tools!!! Rubber gloves, glasses and a hat.

The outside is coming along quite quickly
The electrician and his team work really long days. They arrive a little before 8am take a very short lunch break and don't finish until 7pm or 8pm. Then they have about an hours drive to get back home.
Here are the party lights in the Waterhouse
SWMBO is checking the switches More work around the outside kitchen
All the work is done to a good professional standard, this is what we hope for but seldom get in Thailand.
