Re: Players Pool Tables (Sponsor)
Hey Guys,
First post just to introduce the company and let you know a bit about us.
Players Pool Tables is a new company that we started after we saw a hole in the market for a table that played as well as Brunswick or Diamond, but cost less than 100k THB.
With years of manufacturing experience in other industries we set about sourcing a factory that could deliver a great product and after a couple of misfires we struck gold. We found a great factory that could do exactly what we wanted in terms of build quality and playability, and also offer a solid 5 year warranty.
The result is the first table in the brand called the Players Pro:
These tables are priced at 79,500 for the 8ft, and 89,500 for the 9ft but will be going up a bit at the end of the year.
In Isaan we currently sell around 2-3 tables a month into homes (none into bars yet) so our installation team is never more than 2-3 weeks away.
However, to get the ball rolling we will offer the first table sold to a Udon Map member at 69,500 (8ft) or 79,500 (9ft) - just mention Udon Map when contacting us. We have a delivery to Khon Kaen on 11/10/2017 so it could be installed on that trip if required.
The tables come with a full set of accessories, basically everything you need to play pool and maintain the table apart from a light. If you need a light we have various differnet options at around 5000 Baht.
As well as offering our tables we can offer re-clothing services for people who have tables already. This is not a core business for us and it can only happen if the team are installing a table close by, but they are the best in Thailand and in most cases will be able to get your table playing fast and true again. This service costs around 7000 and includes laser levelling, supplying the cloth and the installation.
So that's us - any question post them to this thread or send us a message.

Hello
I am keen to have my table recovered, my table is an 8 foot table.
Can you advise what brand of cloth you use and what colors are available.

Hi Sportsbar,
We normally use ANDY 588 for bars. This is the biggest selling cloth in Asia - it's designed for use in tropical climates and for the price is a great playing cloth.
It has several advantages over other cloth:
- It's fast. And if taken care of properly will stay fast.
- It's not affected by humidity. On rainy days most bed cloth will slow down and the bank angle will change (see link below) - ANDY cloth is less affected than other cloths.
- Burn mark resistant. All cloths get small white burn marks over time but ANDY has a degree of resistance to this.
It's available in powder blue or electric blue, we recommned electric blue for bars as the slightly darker shade hides the dirt better over time.
Here's a couple of interesting related articles:
http://forums.azbilliards.com/showthread.php?t=413557 (some people on there say it plays too fast, but that is compared to Simonis 860 which is very, very slow)
http://billiards.colostate.edu/threads/ ... l#humidity - lists all the effects of high humidity on game play.
Price would be 7k as long as the table was standard 8ft, if you need any further info let me know.
Thanks,
Tom.

Yep, they are just stickers we apply to promote the brand - you can have the tables without branding or even with a design of your own.

Hi Sparticus,
We're a Bangkok based company but we cover all of Thailand.
We can change cushions but only on certain tables, generally on the bigger brands. Can you tell me what type of table you have?
Thanks,
Tom.

Hi Sparticus,
We only got as far up as Khon Kaen on this trip due to time constraints, so we will have another look at this when we have a table booked in for install in Udon Thani itself.
I'll drop you a message when that is happening, sorry we couldn't sort anything out sooner.
Thanks,
Tom.
