Now personally I think this shows how the people of Udon respect us and regard us as part of the "family"It would be nice if we could repay that honour by turning out in numbers.
The timetable is as follows.
12.00pm Register at Tedsaban School Posri Road
2.00pm Start moving parade from Udon Thani Rajabhat Univerversity
3.30pm All couples who registered will attend the Rod Num Dum Hua activities.
4.00pm Giving souvenirs by the Governor.
In previous years there has been a parade of farangs in bicycle samlors from the Uni , round the town to Nong Prajak where we were greeted and ceremonies took place. Food and drinks were available and Mr &Mrs Songkran were selected. It really is a fun filled time and a great chance for both communities to get to know each other.
Dress for the ocassion, both ladies and men, I am advised that colourful Songkran shirts are the norm.

The TW and I will be attending, as received a letter requesting us to attend. It will be fun, I did this the first time when I first got here. The TW and I placed 3rd runner up as the best couple contest they had. Sure didn't hurt the business after Songkhran, that's for sure. But besides that, it's something all us should try to attend, bring both communities together can only help in the acceptance of each other. Last year I went to the TW's village of Lan Saka, I had the honors of blessing a few of the children of the family., really felt good to do.
