Hello Udon Map. Word has come that Barry (or is it Barrie) from Benchwarmer is in a coma resulting from a road accident.

Such sad news, and something that can happen to any of us.
I wish Barry all the best and safe recovery.

At a time like this, all of us expats should forget our personal grievances and chip in our good will, to help a bloke just like us, who has come here for a better life and who has also provided some entertainment and good times for us all.

Baz's family is at hospital with him now, deal directly with them or leave it be.

There's no need to appoint this uninvited "fund-raiser" guy no matter how many of you he's contacted in the last 24 hours offering his "services".

In fact he should stop posting under a pseudo ID pushing this agenda.

His family are the rightful ones to help.

God bless Baz, he's a nice fella. Hoping he makes it through. Sad times indeed.

Moderator: Assuming that the family might want some privacy, I have removed the graphic description of Barry's injuries which Mr. Pandy attempted to post, after earlier trying to insert himself into the family tragedy in other ways and then entering the hospital room shortly after midnight and taking pictures of the comatose Barry.

We at the ROCKHOUSE are very sorry to hear about Baz!
When we first opened three years ago, Baz was one of our first customers, and a great customer at that.
We became friends from the start.
We wish him a speedy recovery, and our prayers for him and his family.

I am Barry's wife in Australia. Our children are going through a very difficult time. We appreciate support but will not tolerate any interventions that do not assist us at this time. I thank supporters but place a warning to anyone with bad intent. You will be pursued.

That seems a particularly negative view. I think that she was pretty clear that the family welcomes legitimate offers of help, but not contact from interlopers.

I don't know Barry but I wish him better, it's a tragedy that some people are looking to gain kudos out of another persons ill fortune. That aside, my wife speaks Thai and English very well and I'm sure she would help Barry's family with interpretation if they need it.

Here's hoping for a speedy recovery....

Barry passed away at 3.30 a.m. today may he rest in peace. All at T.I.T wish to offer our deepest condolences at this tragic time. T.I.T will be closed until further notice.

Terrible news .. we heard from the hospital only yesterday things were more positive so this came as a huge shock .

A top top fella , a good mate and solid business colleague , he will be missed by many .

I met Barry's son and Daughter yesterday , sincere condolences to them and the rest of Barry/s family for their tragic loss.

Barry was a good friend and he will be geatly missed.
In his bar/restaurant , he was the perfect host.
All newcomers were given his personal warm welcome.
