In April 2013, the World Health Organization Strategic Advisory Group of Experts on Immunization concluded that a single primary dose of yellow fever vaccine is sufficient to confer sustained immunity and lifelong protection against yellow fever disease, and that a booster dose is not needed (9).Jun 19, 2015

This is the latest for Ghana Africa , only 4 weeks ago, my mate from Khon Kaen.

He had to go to BKK for the Yellow Fever vaccination, as its sourced from Red Cross originally and limited places have it for vaccination. Bumrungrad has it if pre booked ahead ( info@bumrungrad.com ) You get your latest YF yellow book and stamped with batch number.

Ghana insist on an updated YF vaccination , to support his Visa Application 4 weeks ago.

I worked in Honduras 3 years ago and despite a 1998 Yellow Fever vaccination booklet it wasnt accepted.

It seems that perhaps each country has its own local regulation.

Will update with what hospital he went to in BKK, as it wasnt Bumrungrad

Ok, quick update

He went to the Red Cross Immunisation Centre direct as it was the cheapest and easy access.
