Swansea City 1 - 0 Liverpool
Bit of a shock.
Pool continue to be as inconsistent as ever. 1 week beating the best team in the League with a scintillating display, the next a tame capitulation against the bottom side..
The Swans stay bottom but there looks to be no certainties for the drop this year. 10th. placed Watford are only 2 wins above bottom placed Swansea, as the battle for 3 relegation places looks to be between at least 10 clubs..

And Everton salvaged a draw at home against next to bottom West Brom,so a great weekend for you Alan ! :-k

Meanwhile.......

Alexis Sanchez completes Man Utd move with Henrikh Mkhitaryan joining Arsenal
By Allan Valente Sky Sports Last Updated: 22/01/18 8:32pm
Manchester United have completed the signing of Alexis Sanchez in a swap deal with Arsenal that sees Henrikh Mkhitaryan move to the Emirates.
Sky sources understand that Sanchez has signed a four-and-a-half-year deal with Jose Mourinho's side, while Mkhitaryan has agreed a three-and-a-half-year contract in north London.
Sky Sports News reported that Sanchez and Mkhitaryan finalised their respective work permits on Monday after previously completing medicals.

Both players will be available for European competition with their respective clubs.....Sanchez in the UEFA Champions League and Mkhitaryan in the Europa League.
Good moves for both players and clubs.Sanchez clearly wanted out of The Emirates whilst Mkhitaryan has failed to impress at Old Trafford but is clearly a better player than he showed for United.
Just when I thought our chance had passed, you go and save the best for last.

To miss quote the great meatloaf 8 outta 10 ain't bad

As I'm now taking these predictions seriously :^o I'll do a Mat, and wait till after Sunday's FA cup matches (or more like who does or doesn't play in them) before making transfers to my FF Team or making my predictions.
Want to see where Sanchez will play at Utd and if Arsenal get the PEA from Dortmand. Also not sure if the 'Ammers will have enough fit players to play :-&

Any truth in the fact that Liverpool are changing their knickname to "The Hoodies" :-s and that they will play in green from now on (with green tights) and are changing the motto from you'll never walk alone to We take from the rich and give to the poor :-D

After reading your conundrum of a post, Statts, I am getting worried that perhaps you are rebelling against the latest drinking laws, and imbibing far too much of the hard stuff! :-" :-" :-" . Because, if you care to look at my post, immediately preceding yours, you will see I posted my predictions on the 24th. January; by my calculations, well BEFORE the FA Cup matches. [-X [-X
Good try, but naughty, naughty.

Mmm. surely something will change with the management of The Gunners this summer. They are currently in danger of missing out on Europe next year altogether unless they actually do a Manchester United & win the Euro.
The Swans now out of the zone, but, as i have said before, it looks like a battle up to Everton at number 9 for the 3 drop spots..
Hammers & Palace divide the points which keeps both ticking over nicely while the slump in Huddersfield's form continues as Pool put the pressure back on Chelsea & United..

Swanseas revival under new manager,Carvalhal,is amazing. They looked dead and buried a few weeks ago.
Its bad news for last seasons three promoted teams,Newcastle,Brighton and Huddersfield who are all in a slump.
Southampton too good to go down....maybe....but....

After signing French defender Aymeric Laporte from Athletic Bilbao, Manchester City's 'annual defence spending' has exceeded the actual annual military defence budgets of 52 countries. (i News) :-$

If we can believe this, I've used a sort of guess calculation that if I was back in my UK office job (thank goodness I'm not), it would take me 40 years to earn what he gets in one!

factor in that he only bothers to "Turn up" for about five or six games a season and he must be laughing all the way to the bank.
