BKK Stan

The owner is a weights junkie; I had a look last week, he has macines almost to the quality of the Ban Chiang Gym, free weights, and machines. Although I think they have not installed air-con yet.

He has done a great job so far.

I'll second Stan on that. I had a look too.
It's looking good. Plenty of weights (if your into that) and a few good cardio machines, the tennis court and table tennis.
I hear they are only going to expand even further with a spa and massage.
Beautiful pool setting. Probably one of the best in Udon.
A good place for an afternoon out with the kids, as they serve food and drinks at the pool from the bar/restaurant.

They do have aircon

Nice to hear there is a decent place to do some strength training. Do they have olympic style weights? 45/35/25 pound plates, squat rack, bench press etc etc? How heavy are the dumbells . Thanks for any responses..

We have a squat rack, which doubles up as a bench press with olympic bar. Maximum dumbell weight is around 50 pounds (all rubber coated with chrome handles). Maximum plate weight is 55 pounds (all rubber coated).
Also have preacher curl station, incline/decline bench, sit up bench, as well as the cardio machines.
The plan is to add an additional "Smith" machine and a Lat pulldown/seated row station, as well as some larger dumbells (although what we already have should be enough for most people).
Come and have a look!

Hope this is ok to place these prices directly here.

Prices are probably not the lowest in Udon, but we are trying to avoid having 100 screaming kids in the pool like some places do.
We congratulate ourselves on having a very peacefull atmosphere at BB Resort. We almost went as far as to only offer 6 month and yearly memberships, in order to keep it slightly more exclusive.

Prices as follows:

BB Sports Members Fee

Family Fee

1. Yourself, Spouse, Child or Parents only.
2. Maximum 4 persons.

Packages Family Fee

Silver Package 1,600 Baht
( 1 month )

No Stan, no charge for residing guests.
They have the full run of the place; even the bar (although drinks are not free; only a friendly smile from the barmaid)

Nice - did some searching and it didnt seem like Udon had any well equipped gyms in the area. Nice to know that BB has enough to get a good workout. I booked at the Irish Clock in May but I will definintly head up that way to get some workouts in while in Udon. Hell, youll probably see me there everyday. Thanks for the info. Rob R.

One other question! We have a small Shih Tzu dog that goes where we go.She doesn't bite ,chew things up,yap yap or piddle on the floor as we bring her mats with us.She goes and stays with us everywhere we go as she is ''our baby''!We never leave her home alone for more than an hour at a time!We are willing to put up a deposit to guanantee that there are no problems.Would our ''entire family be welcome there for a weekend?
