Good job, I'm sure your computer is completely clean now and you don't need to waste time with your monthly ฿50 reformat at Big C.

Wow.. I rarely post and I am.. There seems to be alot of Tinfoil Hat - Googleologist stuff going on..
Does anyone actually know why Linux was created? Has anyone on here actually installed Linux and used it??
I use Linux /Terminal daily. I also have a Raspberry Pi hooked to my TV to watch Netflix...
There is no Ghost in the machine. If anyone had some Knowledge you could scan your computer and networkand try to hack in.. If you are hiding ---- or doing illegal ---- over here then yes be worried.. I am guessing 98% of you are on Windows based systems (computers not smartphones). I would be then worried you installed some ---- antivirus / spyware for free because your mate told you too.. Guess what.. be worried...
Lets get back to Linux here. Linux is great. Ubuntu is great for old computers you cannot put Windows 10++ on because you bought it at Landmark.. If you need Photoshop or Itunes well buy a f#$ken Mac. Macs run a version of FreeBSD (linux) that they customized.. But who wants to spend $30k baht..
Here is more.. I run 2 laptops here. One is a Macbook with VirtualMachine (Ubuntu and different versions of Windows for testing my applications).. I also have a nice Asus runing Ubuntu and stated above a Raspberry Pi.. I have various versions of Linux on memory sticks too..
What do I do.. Web Application and Web Operations..
So now i said that adjust your tinfoil hat.. Realize Edward Snowden was let go as a distraction..Keep your shorts clean.
Need more info to google..
WPA cracking https://youtu.be/f_MJhf8QFpg
https://motherboard.vice.com/en_us/arti ... -mitm-hack https://hakshop.com/products/wifi-pineapple
The bottom line here is you think you know.. You know nothing. I have 20 plus years of experience to back this..
The next time your Winowz machine shits the bed or your mac dies.. PM me how to get on Ubuntu Linux..
END OF LINE

WOW, do you really want to get knee deep in this "Tinfoil Hat" stuff as you call it? With your 20+ years . I will not get into making you look like a crazy person, instead, I will use your own words to disprove you and kick you to the curb.
You said "What do I do.. Web Application and Web Operations.".
Try" Posting online about Google or Youtube and the evils they are, and see if you don't get a "Ghost in your Machine."
You totally missed the topic of this thread. You think because its called "open softwware" it does not got cia fingerprints all over it? Firefox is on my chopping list. "open softwware", HaHa, do you really believe such a thing exists today?
Lets get a self-proclaimed Expert in on this call....Hello, Bobby Helm, are you there? can you hear me, Bobby? Yes, Felixcat, I hear you, how may I serve you? Bob, relax, I want your own Expert opinion on this matter. You know I said Linux was created by the cia, and you attacked me , but I forgot to say I also tried Tails 2.4:386, and Privatix.11.04.11_en, (created by the cia) and it installed, but when I said anything about Google or Youtube, my linux shut down and I got the black screen of death, "no boot locker". Bobby, are you still here?? Well, I have deleted everything "Windows this and that, and all "updates", and Microsoft told me, "If you do this, it may stop your windows from running". HaHa..guess what? Still running...why? Because you don't control your computers anymore, they control you.
Bobby, I give you the last word, what say you?

Natas, Linux is fine but for the average user (98% ? maybe) it's going to be a pain unless the only things they want to do is browse the Internet and check email.
But most people will want to install additional software and attach devices via USB or network, external drives, phones, printers.
Now is tax season for US citizens, try installing your favorite tax software on Linux. Good luck. Pick up the newest mainstream multi-function printer at Lotus and connect to your Linux computer via USB or network, pray for a miracle then spend hours searching online for solutions to why it fails.
Both these things, software and hardware/drivers installation, are usually a breeze with Windows. With Linux prepare for frustrations and the inevitable failures. Sure there are workarounds like virtual machines but once again that's not for the average user.

"Open source" means that all the files used to compile your software are right there for you to inspect. At this very moment there are probably thousands of computer science students studying the Linux kernel or utilities. Geez Louise, don't you guys understand that!!! Then there used to be hacking competitions where hackers would ply their trade for the prize of who could hack what system first.... usually some form of Windows would be hacked within a few minutes. If I recall properly, Ubuntu was never hacked by these pros. Does that mean that there isn't some backdoor somewhere in some utility program that is hardly used.. possibly, but you'd have to install that strange program from some strange repository that is hardly ever used.
I think this really comes down to "Idiot America" again, that is, expertise doesn't matter, "I'm an expert after googling something and studying it for five minutes". The anti-science, anti-expert mantra that is America today. Apparently spreading far and wide.

Felix I have already answered you query about Tails 2.4:386, and Privatix.11.04.11_en in the thread where you asked it.felixcat wrote: ↑March 11, 2018, 11:07 amHello, Bobby Helm, are you there? can you hear me, Bobby? I said that, personally I would not use a distribution that was 2 years old (Tails 2.4:386) or one that was 7 years old (Privatix.11.04.11_en) but if you wanted to that was 'up to you'..
https://tails.boum.org/security/Numerou ... ex.en.html
Microsoft never told you that Windows would not work if you did not install updates.
What they told you was that if you didn't install updates you would be vulnerable to every hacker on the planet who wanted to play.
You ignored what they said & look what happened - you got hacked. Not once or twice, but by your own previous admissions, continually...
It's no conspiracy, no CIA, just criminals exploiting vulnerabilities that have been discovered - more often or not, not by Microsoft either...

Re: Is there a "Ghost" in your machine? Better read this.....
So, Bobby, do you really believe what you just said, or are you a "puppet" for Windows and Linux?
I can handle the attacks, within, but when my house is filled with turmites and no one else on my street gets them, i start to wonder, what is going on here, yes, I am different, I don't follow the masses, I don't agree with MSN, I don't like 5G, I don't like cell phones, or cell towers, I don't like people telling me I should do this or that,
Maybe you should start to call me a "anti-"Social Justice Warrior, and get others to gang up against me, so you can banish all negitive opinions against all that this world tells us we "should do".

bahaaaaa.. Felixcat do you leave your microwave door open when it is on??
Enjoy your windoz machine..

Yes it sucks that most accounting software runs on Windows (simply accounting, quickbooks, etc). Now a days some of the companies have it online and in the Browser.. So.. installing a new printer on Linux can be time consuming for sure. Running a VM also can be tricky.
My overall goal was to post options to people.
---
Back to Felix.. Linux was created by Linus Torvald in answer for a cheap free alternative to UNIX.. You being such a google expert figured you would have learned that.. Maybe some unseen "ghost" is controlling your content you see.. I also think that Tinfoil hat might be picking up some Fox Movie Channel while you are sleeping.. Have a good one Khun Paranoid.

Re: Is there a "Ghost" in your machine? Better read this.....
Thanks, Natas.
See, you don't even know a microwave does not work when the door is open. Hmm?
You said "My overall goal was to post options to people.". No you didn't. You attacked me.
I'm liking Bobby more than you , now. At least Bobby can roll with the punches, as do I.
Again I say, there is no such thing as safe, open software. Now when I open Firefox, it takes about 1 minute (to install all the AI software). And, no, I don't use Google except for peacemaker77g@gmail.com and thats my wifes.
I got no Microsoft updates installed..no Visual MS, no service packs, no Nivida, I will soon start deleting all drivers that are associated with MS. Lets see what that brings. My guess is "Nothing will happen". Why? Because they need us connected to these machines so they can track all we do. Oh My, did I just let the cat out of the box? YouTube "recommends " videos to us. But you may go in and de-select all options...no you cannot. I did it and I still get what they want me to see. So there is a Ghost in the machine. and its watching us all.
Natas, don't talk too much about what you do online...some here are not your friend.
