Not sure if "those prices" really matters these days, there are a lot of us not on pensions making plenty of coin glad for a place away from soi sampan or some village housing estate unit turned-into-bar, ample parking, strong air-con, a LOT of TV screens and different areas to hang out.

Was a good day out in the end. As intimated, I couldn't stay for the games as I was babysitting which was a whole lot easier after 3 pints of Jakobi Hell.

The Jocks edged the Eyeties, the Irish popped gobby Eddie's ballooon big time, the Welsh pipped the frogs... and the TAP's newest hire bartender Joe used to live and work in Rhynie so DM now has a translator for when any rowdy Jockinese get beyond the 3 sheets stage.

All in all, a grand day to be anything except possibly an Englander.

Yes a good day. Well late afternoon into night. Found out you do not have to be of Irish blood to get a free Irish whiskey or 2.
My favourite Whit beer was as usual good to the pallet.
As mentioned the new guy “Joe the Scottish Thai” is a good translator and knows how to pour a beer.

A valid point chewwy and one that seems lost to many , Dao n I focussed on a totally different market target for the Tap and i think the new owners were attracted to the concept.

We are both still actively involved with the Tap for the contracted hand over time period and beyond hence my posting here , thereafter 3DM is the main supplier of all the products sold there , we are very pleased to remain associated with the business we just sold we want to see it flourish and enjoy many more nights like last night there.

Joe "the new guy Joe , Jock Thai" ..what a find im sure he will fit in well .

Twas a shame the Guinness wasnt on Tap for Paddys day ... TO CLARIFY this draft product line addition was in the planning months ago way before the sale of the business Dao n I worked hard to get it sorted and there are already kegs in TC storage at the Tap .. supply wasnt the issues firstly we had to be vetted by the Guinness Thailand people and then after we got the green light locate and find the specific U type Keg coupling which is not readily available off the shelf here ..these are currently in transit /customs as they came from the USA....as soon as they arrive the Guinness will be on and im told an opening promo will see it go over bar at a low price per pint not seen before ??????? Joe is gonna be busy !!

Great to see so many Thais last night as well as our regular expat patrons , lots of new faces seem to be coming via the Tap FB page as well and more s the food menu we created and passed on to the new owners is proving very popular ..now with some excellent pizza choices added can only enhance what we started with.

Scunny lost 2-1 after being 1 up ... thats the norm now ..and on the local front quite a few footy fans dropped bu after the Udon v NBLP derby game yesterday which ended controversially 1- 1 .

Pleased to say this morning 3DM fitted the GUINNESS draft into THE TAP next door ...

The true BLOND WITH A BLACK SKIRT as it was known in the past and many an Irish housewife complained of the husband having a mistress - the blond with the black skirt in the local public house.

3DM have strict product testing and quality control regulations so DM had to check several pints to make sure the gas settings , creamyness and taste were up to our high standards ...i can confirm ITS BLOOMING LOVERLY and Joe the Thai Jock manager stepped in to halt testing .

The new TAP owners have made the decision to put the black gold over the bar at a crazy promo price starting TODAY 4PM until the first delivery of kegs is sold out or until APRIL 6th which ever comes first.
