Mhankkhang Mueng Udon, reported a robbery at the Udon Thani police station. He complained that his belongings had been stolen and is worried that man who takes care of his home is the thief. He has reported the following items stolen: 3 bicycles, a stereo player, a drill, LM cigarettes (15000baht), 5 Liters of gasoline, a rowing machine, gold necklaces (total value over 1,000,000 baht) hidden in his motorcycle battery. We rent a safety deposit box from the bank for the wife's Tong, and Chanotes. This year my drill was (borrowed) stolen by one of the family freeloaders. When I wanted to use it for some work on the roof of our shophouse, I could not find the drill in it's box. I went apesh*t.

I don't understand this. To me it looks like he has got his gold in his hand. Was it never stolen or have the police done a super quick job. Or maybe the translation of the story is confusing.
