unbelievable price for December flight. ฃ439
Ive just booked 2 tickets for my wife (thai) and myself for December. I wanted flights from Manchester to Bangkok sometime in early December with return flights approx 28 days later in early January. I had a look on Ebookers and everything was around ฃ800.
I was then seriously thinking of cancelling our plans to go to Thailand for Christmas and thinking of going in January or Febuary. I called a friend who has just booked to go in November and asked him who he had booked with. He telephoned the company for me and came up with flights going on 7th December and returning on 5th January from Manchester with Qatar airlines which is one of the few 5 star airlines, excellent flight times with only 50 minutes in Doha airport for the change going to Thailand and 60 minutes change over coming back. The price for these tickets ฃ439, I couldnt believe the price. ฃ439 for a 5 star airline in December to Thailand. If you look on Ebookers and put these dates in it comes up with Air France at ฃ932
The company is www.thg.co.uk
Telephone number is 0870 055 0360
Fax number is 01792 483486

Ive registered for the Qatar Privilege Club so when my wife and myself have done this return trip we should have about 31192 miles.
After our 2nd flight we will be silver members and earn 19494 miles each per trip. So if ive got this right after 3 trips we will have 101372 airmiles and would now be gold members which means 23394 air miles per trip per person.
A free ticket is 65000 low season and 90000 high season.
I want to find out what dates are high and low season.
If we make are 4th trip low season we could use 65000 to claim a free ticket, thus still retaining 36372, on completing the trip we would get another 46788 ( 2x 23394 )
so we would be back to 83160, another free ticket for the 5th trip and so on.
Have I got this right ? or am I making a mistake somewhere ?

I paid only 487 pounds for flights ex Glasgow via Dubai with Emirates. That's including all taxes etc, departing 9th December return 17th January. That was through Flightcentre which I thought was excellent price. I think after the 9th the price can shoot up by 100pds plus. Have also booked up for next April, in time for Songkran, also with Emirates through ebookers this time 500 pds, which I thought, for the time of year was pretty good. I can heartily recommend Emirates, have flown with them a few times and never any problems, good service on board plus I get airmiles (Skywards reward scheme). ![Very Happy :D](./images/smilies/icon_biggrin.gif)

Congratulations.
Someone else recognising the attraction of Qatar Airways.
As I previously mentioned in the Transport Section I paid ฃ455 for Qatar Airways for January. Could have got it for ฃ425 with Etihad, but prefer to pay the little bit extra for a 5* airline.
I'm registered as a frequent flyer and one advantage is the extra luggage allowance instead of the miserly 20kg that some carriers state.
Thanks for the web page. I'll make a note of it for future reference.

This just came to me in my email. Pretty interesting deals, although the TAX TO ADD bit has to be noted on the quoted price so not quite so cheap but the Jordanian deal looks as cheap as anything i have seen, but don't take that as a recommendation!!!

Before booking any indirect or bargain flight always check the routing and connecting times, a good indication is to see how many hours there are in total between departure from the UK & arrival in Bangkok and that the arrival is the following day!
I once made a business trip to Singapore on an "excellent promotional deal" but never checked the details out before leaving. I learnt my lesson the hard way; it routed Manchester - Frankfurt - Rome - Dubai (change planes) - Colombo - Singapore
It seemed to take for ever, always had the flight timing details checked for subsequent trips.
